I bought this fountain for my cat to use in my truck, and it has been amazing. It works exactly as described, feels well made, looks nice, and is almost completely silent. The biggest benefit for me as a truck driver is that it does not spill while driving. Potholes, rough construction roads, slopes, downhill, uphill, sudden braking - none of it matters. It stays in place and does not splash water out. The design is really smart, and the openings are large enough to prevent water from spilling even on very rough roads. This was a huge problem with my previous fountain. On bad roads, it would always leave a wet mess on the floor. It was also metal, got damaged quickly on the road, and eventually started to rust. For anyone who has a pet in a truck, or travels often, this fountain is a great choice. It has been perfect for us. And my cat always has fresh, moving water, so she drinks enough, which is great for her health:)

This cat fountain is similar in size and build to other cat fountains, but in order to turn it on you place the whole fountain on the included pad and it runs. I have to plug mine in behind a book case making cleaning a hassle, but no more! I also prefer this style of large circular filter vs the style that most come with now that are 2inx4in and have several from past fountains, so that’s a plus. It’s very quiet, and I’m able to see the water level at a glance. Longevity yet to be seen, but we have hard water so I’m hoping with regular cleanings this will last a few years.

Update Aug-2022: After running for more than a year, the pump finally died. Thankfully a replacement pump was available here for $10 and this thing is running again! BTW, dont get scared when the pump suddenly stops. It seems to be a power-saving thing! It comes back in a bit!! Update 9/14: This unit is working just fine. Ofcourse I DIYed a filter instead of forking $4 each time. Oh those filters get bad pretty quick. If you read a review that says the pump stopped working, thats just poor maintenance. Its just because the user didnt clean the impeller/suction part properly. See, you are supposed to take the entire unit apart, rinse, wash properly to remove cat food residue. Oh, it is gonna get into the pump inlet, with or without the filter. My motor did the same thing: lights blink, then no action. Clean the pump after taking it apart, in fast water, its just as new... ======================================================================== The background story is my cat always spilled water from his bowl just to check if its "alive". So I was tired of drying the carpet and yelling at him when he does that. So I needed something to check and control this behaviour. So my review will be from this perspective. Whats good 1. Silence. Yes! Its super super quiet. I can swear its now working if it was not for the minute movement of the water fountain. 2. No spillage!! I have used two other electric cat fountains and in both of them there was enough water for my cat to play with and ergo spill on the carpet. This device has very little amount of water available for him to spill. Also the "Infinity pool" concept ensures the water is not at the edge of the drinking bowl, thus preventing accidental spills. Love this piece of design. 3. Setup is simple. Just pop in the motor, connect the wire, fill water and its on! 4. Love the blue light. My cat is curious all the time (including ones he saw already!) So in a dark room this catches his attention and he investigates, sniffs and ergo he drinks water often! Whats I didnt like 1. I wasnt happy about the motor being loose the 5v connection is in the water. Agreed, its a low voltage and Im pretty sure its water tight. As an electrician, thats not something Im comfortable with, unless its sealed by silicone. Im assuming the thought process was to "replace" the motor when it goes bad? The designers need to think, no one is going to replace just the motor. They are gonna toss this out and get a new unit by itself. So why not just fuse the motor to the unit into a water tight unit!!? 2. Filter Media: $4 for each is not just a sustainable option. Especially with having to change frequently as it is getting soggy in less than a month. 3. Cable management. The cable management design under the unit is just not working. I tried following instruction and the cable and connector keeps popping out. Its not a deal breaker but its an annoyance. Overall This is much better than the ones I have seen in Walmart and definitely better option for cats that like playing with still water! What got me onboard is that my cat hated the other fountains due to its noise and very active water flow. But the quiet motor and minimal fountain movement won him over. Keeping this one, we are.

Setup & Ease of Use: The initial setup was very simple and straightforward. The design is compact, modern, and easy to place on the floor without taking up too much space. Cleaning is also a breeze thanks to its detachable design. Performance: The fountain is very quiet. You don’t hear any mechanical noise, just a soft bubbling sound if you’re right next to it, which is actually quite calming. The water stays fresh and filtered, and our Shih Tzu (10 lbs) took to it immediately. He now drinks more water, which gives us peace of mind about his health. Reservoir & Maintenance: The reservoir is a good size—on average, it lasts about a week before needing a refill. That could be shorter if you have multiple pets or a thirstier animal, but for a single small dog or cat, it’s very convenient. A helpful tip: when refilling, add water with the pump already in the container. This prevents it from overflowing when putting the lid back on. Size & Suitability: This fountain is best suited for small pets. For larger breeds, the size of the reservoir and drinking area may not be practical. But for smaller pets, it’s just right. Overall: Fresh water, quiet operation, easy cleaning, and a sleek design—this fountain checks all the boxes. After several months of daily use, it’s proven durable and dependable. Highly recommend for small dogs or cats. I will never buy another fountain. I don’t say this in exaggeration, but I have tried at least ten different fountains. I have many cats and each is picky but this is the only one that checks all the boxes. First, it stays clean the longest. There is nothing worse than cleaning a cat fountain. All the crevices that you can never fully reach, the sliminess, the fur, and then the spout gets clogged. With this? Oh no. It is the easiest to clean by far. It comes apart easily and doesn’t have nearly as many creases. The parts go back together easily and it’s a breeze. The filter also does wonders so you don’t have to clean it heavy duty every time. Plus, it’s cordless internally. It’s like magic. Secondly, my cats love to drink from it and it’s almost silent!!! I thought the would prefer a more pronounced spout but they love this openness and it doesn’t make a terrible trickling sound. It makes a tiny tiny bubble sound like you have to hunt for if you really want to hear it. With four in my house, you’d think you can hear it but nope! Thirdly, there is no light that is keeping me awake at night. The sensor will blink when it’s low on water or when it’s not aligned properly which is rare and usually due to human error. I usually have to cover the light with tape on my other fountains but now no more! It really is the perfect fountain. I love how efficient, effective, and easy it is while also remaining affordable!!

Like many others who wrote reviews about this product, my pump stopped working about a couple weeks after I replaced the first filter. The reason was that the filters I purchased did not fit correctly - the hole in the middle was too large and it allowed pet hair to get past and down into the reservoir. Once the hair is in there, it gets into the wheel in the pump. This is an extremely easy fix. All you have to do is take the pump apart and clean it and remove the hair. There is a QR code in the instruction manual showing how to clean the pump. I can also say that I have one small cat, one large cat, and one 75 lb. dog. All three of them use this fountain. The dog has even learned to use it on "smart mode" (a cycle where it pumps for a couple of minutes, then stays off for a couple of minutes as a method to make the filter last longer and the water evaporate less quickly) - he will quickly empty the top saucer of water if it's in the Off cycle of smart mode, then stand and wait for it to come back on again before continuing to drink. It works just fine for him so don't be worried unless your dog is REALLY big. It does need to be cleaned at least once every couple of weeks if not more frequently just like any other water dish would since they get gross and slimy with bacteria if left alone. It really is easy to clean, marginally more effort than cleaning a regular water bowl. You could probably even put most of the pieces in the dishwasher if you really wanted to, although you probably want to keep the main reservoir piece out of there since it has an electrical cord attached. Overall I think this is an excellent product, especially for the price. Make sure to get the correct replacement filters to avoid having so much hair getting in. It's also good to have a small bottle brush (brush diameter 1/2 inch or so) to clean the tube and inner pump.

Silent operation. Absolutely spill proof. Seriously: I bought this for the cat during our move from Alaska to the lower 48 in our 30 year old beater RV. We traversed some of the roughest roads in the civilized world, between Tok and the Yukon. Books fell off shelves, food slid off counters, one dude lost an axle, but this absolute treasure didn’t shed a drop of water. I dont know how it did it. It was in the door footwell a couple feet aft of the rear axle because I thought for sure it would splash around d but the entire footwell was dry even after we gave up putting the books back on the shelves due to the i tense vibration and rocking in northwestern Yukon. Perfect balance of compact size, portability, and ease of use/cleaning. It sips electricity. Could run for a month on the rv battery. Absolutely perfect.

NOT wireless. I am disappointed because calling it wireless is misleading, it will not work without being plugged via wire. You can remove the battery base to charge it, and the wires are not touching inside the thing, but that is not what I call wireless at all. I do have a completely wireless fountain that has a battery and this is not that unfortunately. It otherwise is extremely quiet and a great size, so I will just have to find somewhere else to use it or give it away as it can't be used where I actually needed it.

It helps to avoid frequent pissing by pets due to limited & controlled quantity of served water.

Ik heb meerdere drinkfontijnen voor mijn 2 katten gehad. Deze werkt tot nu toe het beste, is best mooi en is ook lekker eenvoudig. Een lamp geeft aan wanneer de filter moet worden vervangen en de dispenser is voldoende doorzichtig om de waterstand te kunnen zien. Wat ik heel prettig vind ten opzichte van de andere is dat je het water helemaal niet hoort ondanks dat het vloeit.

Love it. Cats love it. Much easier to monitor their fluids. Much easier to maintain than earlier models. Truly is whisper quiet.
