General Medi Emergency Blanket (12-Pack), Emergency Gold Foil Blanket– Perfect for Outdoors, Hiking, Survival, Marathons or First Aid

I've never seen one of these 'emergency survival blankets' in person let alone used one. These were so inexpensive, I didn't think they'd be that good. Maybe they are junk compared to others, but at well under $1 apiece, I had to check it out. It is no thicker than a Mylar balloon and I thought it was going to rip just unfolding it. I opened it slowly and deliberately and had no issues with tearing. My young daughter thought it was very cool and wrapped herself up in it sitting on the living room floor. She's pretty much always cold and wears jeans and a sweatshirt while everyone else is in shorts and t-shirts. We were inside where the temp was a comfortable 75 (so this is by no means an accurate gauge of its effectiveness). However, in 6-7 minutes she noticed she was warm. She stuck her (previously very cold) hand out of the blanket and it was very very warm. I was shocked. We're looking forward to seeing if it works anywhere near as well when it's 50 or lower outside. And lastly, we were able to fold it back up (nowhere near exactly the way it started) and get it back into the plastic zip bag it came in.

Quality product, great price for quantity and quality. Can be used all year-round in all types of weather. Good to carry in glovebox of car for emergencies as well as in backpack when hiking or camping, put a couple in first-aid bag. Versatile product can be used as a tarp, shelter, ground cover and blanket, can also be used as a signal to searchers if lost. Can be used in conjunction wit other equipment for constructing sling for injured person. Product is durable too. We have a 3 to 1 schedule that we use in our camping bags for each person (example: ground cloth or blanket, 2- to make pup tent or lean-to & ground cover) their packaging is very compact and can be re-used.Highly recommend this item!

Used these blankets more for my cooler and tent to reflect the heat. Much cheaper than big box stores. Its an emergency blanket so not super durable, so its mostly disposable one time use kind of thing.

Great for first aid bags. Great for camping and hiking. I keep several in my bags and with camping gear. Compact and easy to store. Multi use item.

I use these in my yard as flags to keep the hawlks from getting my chickens. They dont like the soumd when they flap in the wind and shine with the sun

Great value and quality

I use these blankets to line the interior of shelters for community and feral cats in my yard, so that they have shelter from the harsh wind and cold. I place them over Styrofoam, so that they provide warmth. They are attached to the Styrofoam by special glue or tape.

We got these for my father who is always cold in bed. We put it between his sheet and blanket, his body heat is reflected back at him and helps keep him warm. It’s a very low tech solution, but it works.The foil blanket itself is quite thin, and you need to handle it with care or it will rip. Once it is on the bed and under sheets it stays in once piece and does it’s job

Some of the better quality blankets and clearly visible from afar. A shame there aren't any priced that reflect charitable buys as these are acquired for the homeless - and can truly save lives in poor weather conditions - whilst searching for deals that offer more units for the price when doing a once monthly purchase..
