I had to go buy a pair of tongs with a good gripping power just to get these out of the ...
Not quite heavy enough for me and difficult to get out if they arent at the very top of the jar. I had to go buy a pair of tongs with a good gripping power just to get these out of the bottom of my jar. I've been experimenting with different kinds of kraut so i'm making smaller batches and these just dont come out well if they are further down in the jar.

BOTTOM IS NOT FLAT
These weights do not have a flat bottom. As you can see in the picture, there is a deep pocket in the bottom (see weight on left). The handle works well, but the pocket on the bottom will trap air. I rate these at 1 star, because I won’t be using them.
