Water proof
I had to 'phone the manufacturer of this item as their website did not state dimensions. The gentleman to whom I spoke was very helpful. This will be used to hold my long camera lens when I am in the jungle and it may rain. The outside net pockets are spacious and easily hold my water bottles. It is comfortable to wear with lots of straps for adjustment. Very pleased with the product.

Excellent product and Outstanding service!
I bought this rucksack for walks with the Ramblers. I've used it twice now and so far it's been brilliant - it even received a compliment from one of the other walkers. The *only* issue I had with it was the waist / hip strap. It only fastened on the very far side (on both the far left and far right sides - so the strap can be taken completely off if desired). However, with full pack and a bulky coat ... actually two coats, a down jacket with a waterproof anorak over that ... on and with gloves (even with bare hands) it was really hard to twist around enough to fasten that waist clip again after taking the pack off for the break. It works fine if you just have a t-shirt on but with a coat I found it frustratingly difficult. I even almost asked someone to help me with it.The vendor sent an email asking how I liked the pack and I wrote back that I really liked it except for that one thing. They sent me - immediately - a strap that allows the waist strap to now be fastened in the middle! (as shown in the picture). There's plenty of excess strap which I will probably have to cut off, but better more than not enough.I was very impressed with that level of service. !!It is absolutely waterproof - tested on last weekend's walk in the rain. And the seat (mat) that is stored in the back is REALLY useful and something I probably would not have thought about beforehand (being a bit of a novice walker). So, yes, an excellent product and amazing service.01 02 2020 - Update. Before putting the delivery envelope for the additional strap in the recycling bin, I checked the inside and found that they'd enclosed a 20% off coupon. I just ordered a waterproof mapcase which just came today. Another big surprise!

Versatile
I have used this backpack almost every day for a month now and use it for day walks and commuting on my bicycle, come rain or shine. As a previous owner of the Alpkit.com Gourdon 25 pack, I find this pack more versatile. The AlpKit pack is very basic. The Aquapac has the following extras that makes it more versatlile and superior:An inner dry/wet bag and smaller pouch that zips into the inside of the bag.Bottle pouches on the sides of the bag - put in keys, sunblock, small items or water bottlesLoop and carabiner on the back face of the bag - Useful for attaching a cycle light or keys to the carabinerA pouch on the back with a removable mat - also used as a back support (as does the Alpkit). I use this for my 0.5 liter Camelback hydration pack.Detachable waistbelt strap that fixes to the lower sides of the backpak.4 adjustable straps - one for each shoulder and one for each side of the waist strap. Each of the adjustable straps are very long (too long - but possibly OK for the largest of human beings) and these are held in place with a piece of black tubing which can slide along the strap to stop the excess strapping from flapping all over the place. There is also a strap to attach across the chest. At the end of each strap is a rubber thumb loop which can be used to pull the straps tight. On my second use one of these ripped off the strap. My suggestion is - don't pull on these rubber loops to tighten the straps as they are poorly sewn on. Just pull on the strap itself.Good Points:Nice size bag for daily use (25l)Side PocketsInside dry / wet bagPouch at back with back support/ sitting matWide shoulder straps and waist belt (wider than the Alpkit)Black - does not look so dirty when dirty.Bad Points:Quite expensive (£55.00 - £60) when compared to the AlpKit (£22.50)Dodgy sewing for the thumb loops

A tough and lightweight rucksack
I am really pleased with these backpacks. They are very strong and comfortable to carry when they have a lot of weight in them. I carried a 1.5 litre bottle of water in each side pocket and packed the main compartment with food, clothes, additional water, first aid equipment so there was bulk as well as weight. On this occasion I did not have the opportunity to check the waterproofing.

Does what it says - my daughters favourite bag.
Aquapac Wet & Dry Lightweight Waterproof Backpack - 25 Litres (788) Bought this for my daughter as her Uni backpack. Easily carries her macbook 13" as well as folders etc. Been tested in quite a few downpours now and does the job perfectly. She loves it and takes it everywhere. Great quality.

Well designed day sack
Excellent for day trips to beach, in woods etc - I have used it for my daily commute on bike as well for a number of months.Internal waterproof bag and pocket make it very easy to organise.Side pockets can each hold a large thermos or bottle without any problems. The final toggle part of the waterproof mechanism is slightly fiddly, but I've never had any leaks even without doing them up.Highly recommended.
