Edmonton 28-inch Curved LED Electric Fireplace Stove Insert with Remote - 3-D Log and Fire Effect

We've had our fireplace less than a week and love it already! I love that it has a remote, but I also love the touch screen on the fireplace itself. The controls are simple and easy to use and understand. It seems quite safe to me, as I've run it for hours and the only part that gets hot is the vent where the heat comes out. Everything else is safely cool, which means I don't need to worry about my toddler burning himself on it.One thing to note, in the description it has an image of the glass window opening... this model does not open like that (I think the pictured one was their 26" model).

For my purpose this fireplace works out very well. I have a wood-burning fireplace but decided to insert this product for now, just until I can decide about remodeling. Product arrived in good condition and very fast. Product warms the room very well. And the Faux flames are fun to watch. I did have a contractor do the installation because I needed electricity near the fireplace. But I can see that the item is very easy to install.I am very satisfied with this product. And I will update as to the longevity and on-going use later this year.

We ordered the 28” unit and received the fireplace insert quickly, but the packaging said the unit was a 26”. We called Amazon to get the correct item shipped, and the second package arrived quickly as well, but the outside still said 26”. After speaking with the manufacturer we decided the exterior packaging must have been mislabeled and when we opened the item it was indeed the correct item. The unit was too small to actually put inside our 41” fireplace, but we knew that going in, so that doesn’t affect this review.The aesthetics are really nice. The logs and flame look very realistic, and the background has a realistic brick-like texture. The unit itself looks a lot like an tube TV, with a slightly rounded glass front. I think that if it did fit inside our fireplace the rounded glass might be kind of odd.The blower is powerful enough. The room we use it in is quite large (400+ sq ft) so it doesn’t really heat the room, but the room does not have ducting so it makes enough of a difference. The plug is long enough to reach where we needed it. The unit doesn’t get hot, so it’s safe for our kids. Even the air coming out of the blower isn’t hot enough to burn or cause any discomfort (which is part of the reason why it isn’t entirely effective in our large, cold space).The remote is nice, and the touch screen is really cool, with one major flaw (which is the only reason not to give it five stars) - there is no way to lock the controls. Since the unit doesn’t get hot we have no reason to keep the baby or kids away, which means they can mess with the controls. A simple control lock feature would be a big improvement.

The heater was a perfect fit replacement for my fireplace.

Appears to be a nice e-fireplace. However, the thermostat isn’t working. Set temp to 80. Starts at 67...within a minute, it jumps to 80. And the heat shuts down. Trying to send it back but already dismantled the boxes. Not sure how, if possible, to return it. I may have just bought an expensive fireplace lighting system.

Great looking electric fireplace! Although not built yet, my intention is to build a mantle around this, giving it a home in our basement family room.

I received the Edmonton Curved LED 28" Electric Fireplace Stove Insert on 12 Nov 2017, a few days after I ordered it from Amazon. It came in a very secure and well-packaged box. Upon opening the box I found that there was no damage and that all of the extra parts were there. I plugged it in and gave it a test run. The LED screen worked great! My kids loved it! my two year old kept blowing on it to put it out. The blower at the top seems to only blow out of the middle third of the fireplace but it got the job done. Our living room was very comfortable. The blower isn't very loud, but I did have to turn the TV up a little bit louder, and I am fine with that.The only downside, I wasn't paying attention to the top of my fireplace when I purchased the insert. If my fireplace was a rectangle I would have installed it right then and there. But my fireplace has an arched top.
