Beautiful, Practical, Heavy little Iron Kettle
Sturdy, well made little kettle. Can make around two and a half cups of tea.The iron keeps the water hot for longer.I decided to boil my water in the pot rather than boiling a kettle to then pour the hot water in (defeats the object in my opinion). The kettle sits very comfortably on the gas stove and even watching the flame to the kettle boil has a calming effect.Do not leave heating water unattended.Maybe it's my mind playing tricks on me, but the plain water tasted cleaner and my tea flavours seemed more acute.Even if you don't end up using this kettle much, it is a lovely crafted item to have on display. It gives an automatic warmth and homely feeling to any dwelling.A very good buy. Thumbs-up!

Nice
The media could not be loaded. The patterns on it are very nice. I've used it with the induction hob and it makes great tea. Keeps it hot for up to 20 minutes. I've only tried black tea for now. After use, I just rinse with water and dry with a cloth.

Better than picture
Bought this as a Xmas present for my brother who is a loose tea lover. Item came earlier than stated, well boxed, extremely pleased with the look of it. It is absolutely gorgeous, very heavy, beautifully made. He will be so pleased with it. Can't comment on how well it stands up to use as not given to recipient yet. Will make a great unusual gift. Better than the picture, was really impressed with it.One criticism with all Amazon packaging is the items are always in the corner of the box with loose paper on only one side, so package is not safe from damage. It would make more sense to put paper around the item. Luckily my item arrived safely.

Sturdy and well-made
This teapot is exactly as described - it's sturdy and well-made. I have no complaints. A bit tricky to clean, but that's a common trait of iron teapots. Its pouring is smooth and spill-free. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Solid and Elegant Teapot
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to entertain some guests and to enjoy the ritual of pouring Japanese teas into small bowls. I didn’t realise just how solid and strong this actual teapot would be, considering the price point and considering I’ve seen very similar ones in Selfridges for over £100!It’s absolutely perfect and every person who has seen it loves it. I thought I would only use it as a one-off but I can’t stop making all my teas in there now.It can be placed directly on the boil and the handle is safe touch due to the straw tip.Really pleased with it :)Thought I’d also post a video review so you can also see what it’s like on video so please check it out!

Style over Practicality
Firstly I had to return he Frist one I bought as the handle wasn't attached. Second one was all fine though.I bought this because I'd liked the design and wanted a Japanese tea pot. What I didn't bargain for though was how impractical using one is.Firstly, for the tea leaves to soak you have to fill the pit to a certain level before it'll reach the leaves, so this means it's impractical for just 1 cup of tea. But as I bought a larger size that's ok, as I'm intending to make 2 cups minimum. Just something to watch out for.The main issue is pouring the tea out. As the lid stays on by gravity only, there's danger of it falling off when pouring the tea, as you do have to tip the pot almost vertical to get the last of the tea. So like you would do with some other tea lots, you Holst he lid in place whilst pouring, but being cast iron, it heats up....very well. So you're almost burning your fingers trying to keep the lid in place.I think the spout has some flaw also as I always get stray drips somehow. Not sure if I have a faulty pot or all do this.It is easy to clean though (it does take extra care and maintenance but I guess it will last a lifetime) and does retain heat fairly well. And it does look great as a centre piece at any afternoon tea.All in all, I'd say style over substance, but find a basic teapot if you want practicality.

Bel prodotto
Lo uso come teiera su una stufa a legna, mi piace lo stile. Non posso dire se il the sia buono o meno in quanto la uso come umificatore, ma l'estetica è molto bella.
