Took me a while to get this setup and running. To little time. However when I did, it worked for a day and died. It was just outside Amazons one month policy. So they were no help, went round and round and it would not let me select product as it was outside the one month return policy. Ended up contacting Manufacturer. Have to say, they sorted it straight away and sent a replacement. Happy to say replacement is working perfectly. Over a month and not one issue.

Bought for the Gemini Ultra Slim Laptop. Easily installed and formatted. Works great.

Obviously my fault for not doing the homework, but tried to use in my Alienware as a boot drive, just not the right optiion, slower boot times than what I was used to with a full size 2280 boot drive, I wouldn't expect lightning fast performance as a boot drive but when money is a problem this will do the job! I'll be using a Samsung 960 Pro with a faster read and wrtie of 2000, the extra space won't hurt mind you if needed

Tried to use this to USB boot a Raspberry Pi via an MSATA-to-USB adapter, but after the initial boot where it resizes the partition, it wouldn't boot back up again. I've used the same adapter with other SSDs with no problems, and tried this Dogfish SSD in another adapter and Pi, refreshing the SSD for each go. Every attempt resulted in it initially working, but second boot failing. Plugging SSD into computer still shows the boot drive though. This was my first try of the Dogfish brand - I won't buy another.

Not very fast speeds but cheap Msata drive, used to copy files from old laptop hard drive so I could do a fresh install of Windows onto original hard drive

Broken after 2 weeks. Amazon refunded me but I wouldn't try same manufacturer. I understand that factories making mistakes but that was very short time of usage. Suddenly whilst I was working on my PC I had a blue screen and restart and then a message...No Boot Device Found

Bought this 500GB drive as spare/exchange part for my system - disappointed as it is very slow - formatting takes near 2hours (1hour 57mins). My original drive: Samsung EVO860 500GB mini SSD formats in just 26mins - that’s more than 4times faster despite being older. I’m returning this product.

For its price the Dogfish SSD is exceptional value. I am using it on a MacBook Air M2 as a storage disk rather than one constantly working (e.g. as a TimeMachine backup) so will expect it to last for a long time; though I have no doubt it would be very satisfactory as a TimeMachine unit. The quality of the unit is very good, with the thoughtful inclusion of a USB-C/USB-A adapter.

Funny in a crying sort of way though. Solution?: After attempting to contact this moron company in many fashions, email, phone, WeChat, FaceBook, etc. and getting nothing back, I came up with another idea: Self Serve Warranty Here's how it works (and sorry in advance to Amazon, but I order enough stuff not to feel too bad). If you have a defective DogFish product, order another one. Yup, that's right. Seems counter-intuitive, but wait. When you receive the new one, but the old one back into the box, send it back and get a refund. Problem solved and the "Self Serve DogFish Warranty" is born!
