Cool product but messy
This review is for the leaf monk hair mask (scalp rescue). First of all, I like that the hair mask uses Ayurvedic knowledge and herbs to benefit the hair and scalp. It includes multiple herbs known to be good for the hair/scalp, including orange peel, moringa, and neem. I like the idea of using natural products on my hair. However, this was incredibly messy and inconvenient to use. I used a bowl and water to add to the powder product provided. This still made a mess in my sink but it was easily wiped up/ washed away down the drain. The issue I had is that this is meant to be left on for 20 minutes but being a dark colour and a messy product, I was concerned about getting it on my clothes or furniture so I didn't want to leave the bathroom but also didn't want to sit around for 20 minutes in the same room. Maybe in the bath, this would be more convenient? you could of course use a shower cap but I didn't have one to hand and would have had to wash it afterwards. I didn't end up leaving this on for the whole 20 minutes as a result of this. Despite this I did like the results of the mask - my hair looked shiny and felt very clean. If you like herbal remedies and don't mind a bit of mess this could be a nice option to try.

Awkward to use and apply
Bit of a faff so mix up etc and doesn't apply nicely, does make scalp feel clean and hair fresh afterwards but I'm more of a convenient person

Easy to mix, mild pleasant odour. Soothed dry and irritated scalp
Used a couple of times now and very effective band soothing and irritated and dry scalp.Mixes to a paste paste pretty easily and is relatively easy to apply if carefully move hair out of the way.On the downside print on the attractive container is small and hard to read.

Healthier looking hair
To start with this is a bit of trial and error to get the consistency correct would be good if it came with a scope but once you get it right it becomes easy to mix the mask as a bit of a floral smellI work outside in all weathers so my hair gets dull and I needed something to give it a bit of moisture so started to use this mask once a week for 20 minutes and have been doing so for about three weeks my hair is looking a lot healthier and feels stronger

Messy but left my scalp really healthy looking
The mask comes in the form of a powder which reminded me of the old days of mixing up henna, and it has a similar smell. It is potentially very messy and also very tricky to get it onto your hair, it's a bit like playing with mud pies. I left it in my hair for half an hour and rinsed out, my hair was then a matted lump and I had to shampoo and condition. My hair was reasonably shiny afterwards but it usually is, perhaps there was a deeper, richer look to it. I was slightly taken aback by the amount of hair that fell out when I rinsed but that seems to happen when I leave anything soaking in my hair for that long.Would I buy this, well, it's certainly a bit of a messy fiddle, however I was really impressed with the condition of my scalp afterwards, the flakiness had totally disappeared, so the herbs, flower and leaf extracts are certainly doing their stuff, so I do think I would use it again.
