First bought 10kg, laid on 25th March on a large area of hard clay, after 13 days with the nights getting down close to freezing the seed started growing, has now been 3 weeks and looks good, a little patchy but I’m sure it will be full growth soon. After I knew it was a good product I bought a further 15kg to cover another area. This was spread on 19th April as the temperatures were a little better, after a week I could see the seed start to grow. Would never normally write a review but I’m very happy with how fast the seed started to grow and its coverage. After reading so many reviews trying to see if I was spreading the seed too early but to no real conclusion, I hope this review helps others.

Had grown well in most areas, however patches in other areas where it has struggled to grow. Not quite living up to expectations.

Well I was super skeptical - after doing all the messers prep - scarify, rake, top soil, pre seed fertiliser and then this grass seed, I watered and watered looked like a butter water soil every night, must of been the laughing stock of the neighbourhood. 2 weeks nothing, 3 weeks baby sprouts! It’s happening! Remain calm! Alert the town hall it’s happening right now! It’s been just over 6 weeks and the after results are amazing! Will definitely be doing this again next spring! I planted around tail end of March when the soil temperature was around 10 and we had no rain for 2 weeks! So water was crucial! Be patient as I was not! Eventually I now have stripes! Which I never thought would happen!

I rarely put Amazon reviews, but had to for this seed. I bought some other stuff.from home bargains and did all the prep,.but the seed just failed, feeling a little disillusioned, I gave it one more go with this seed and wow the results are great, save your money and just go buy this stuff, does take a couple weeks to germinate, so nate with it and water twice faily

I would give this product zero stars if I could. I purchased 5Kg of seeds to over seed a small area of lawn which had been scarified and top-soiled. I read the good reviews in the hope that I'd get a decent sprouting of grass from the seeds.Complete waste of time and money. I put down three times as much seed as required but not one seed has germinated. I've basically paid £35 for a bag of husks.The weather has been perfect, sunshine and rain, but still nothing. The seeds have been down for 3 weeks and I think I can safely give up on them and put it down to experience. I should have gone to my local garden centre and just bought something off the shelf.

Hoping this is extra quality for the price

Don’t waste money on anything else!!! Had to seed from bare mud patch! Full lawn and have started a “pig palace” - holiday home for my mates Guinea pigs. Also seeded a caged area in the hen run for pecking at when they can reach!!! Germinates really fast…very few, if any failed seeds I have bought a couple of times. Highly recommended.

Been around 8 days. Germination rate is poor. Not impressed as weather appears to be perfect. I did weigh the bag, it was over 5kg (as advertised).Done a fair bit of prep before seeding, aerated and scarified. Kept everything watered too. Will edit my review if things improve this week...Edited- germination did improve after 3 weeks. I am now satisfied with the purchase. Moved to 4 star
