Tuning options galore!
This is an absolutely amazing speed controller with a very extensive tuning menu. The real car mode seems like more of a gimmick to me, but some of you may enjoy that option.

Excellent
The second Gen 1080 is just as great as the first one. It has some features I'll never use, but you don't have to use them. I got the 11 turn motor. Ran on 3s for about 2 hours with no heat issues, or any other issues for that matter. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with the program card. The card Amazon said would work doesn't come with the right chart. I have the chart in the esc instructions, but that isn't convenient at all.

What can I say!! it's a HobbyWing, the 1080 G2 is as an awesome ESC and combined with their rebuildable brushed motors you can go wrong, this is my second one and will buy for in the future. the 1080 ESC is my go to for all my rigs. I highly reccommend any of the HobbyWing stuff.

Esc works amazing but the motor started smoking third climb I did with it. Don’t waste your money on the combo just buy the ecs and use a Traxxas motor.
