Can you use plastic liner bags with this?

I used a zip lock bag and it worked out fine. I'm sure the liner would have the same results.

Is Thinning the paint a must or not?

I only utilized this with wood sealer, but as a professional painter, I can say all paints need to be thinned and maybe even screened prior to utilizing a sprayer of any sort. This may seem rigorous but the finish product is so much better.
