Works great with linux
Unlike another reviewer, I had zero problems using this on Linux. I used PlatformIO with esptool-based flashing rather than dfu-util, and everything worked flawlessly for my use case. Great little device.

Powerful, Compact, and Easy to Use
The Arduino Nano ESP32 blew me away. It’s incredibly compact, but don’t let the size fool you — this thing is powerful. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work flawlessly, and it’s perfect for IoT projects or anything that needs wireless connectivity. I love that it’s fully compatible with the Arduino IDE, and setting it up was quick and painless. It has just the right number of GPIOs for most medium-sized projects, and being able to use ESP32 features on such a tiny board is a huge win. I’ve used it for robotics, NeoPixel control, and sensor integration — and it handled everything without breaking a sweat. Great stability, great performance, and a perfect upgrade if you’re coming from a traditional Nano or Uno. Highly recommend for makers, students, and anyone looking to pack a punch in a small package.

Nice hardware, limited value over Node MCU
These are pretty cool little controllers. Genuine arduino and comes with that quality hardware. Easy to use, drivers all work with arduino ide without issue. Not sure if there is a lot of value here over a Node MCU. This does have Bluetooth and a better processor, but it’s also 500% the cost. Glad I bought one to play with, will use this again on future projects.

Great little board if you are exploring IoT
This is a pretty inexpensive board for those looking to get into the world of the Internet of Things. I ended up choosing this rather than the clones or other ESP32's since this is an Arduino product and I'm using Arduino's Cloud services. So I was not surprised to find no problems integrating with their IoT services. For me, this was the main reason for getting this particular controller. I did not want to spend time tweaking knockoffs or clones to get them to work nor worry about their reliability.

Easily my favorite board
It’s like Nano Every with WiFi. Same pinout. So small, so cute, so versatile. I think this has more memory, and the WiFi lets you go (a bit) remote with your project. There’s a client server example that allows for messages from client to server (and a response back to the client). I use several boards on a stand-alone router. I recommend a static IP assignment at least for the server…

Wifi Mostly Doesn't Work
Arduino IDE as of version 2.x won't reliably show the Nano ESP32 Wifi port. This is a known bug but Arduino support doesn't seem concerned that wifi doesn't work. Additionally, newer versions of the IDE don't work with other 32 bit wifi boards. Some users suggest dumping Arduino IDE altogether and moving to PlatformIO. If you are buying this to wirelessly upload sketches ,from within the Arduino IDE forget it!!

Great board, better than 33iot
This was my first ESP32, previous experience was with the nano 33iot - they are pin compatible. It is an excellent board, generally much more capable than the 33iot, the clock is much better (the 33iot could be off 5 minutes a day but the ESP32 is always within a second) and stronger wifi (the 33iot would drop with some regularity but the ESP32 is rock solid). And I'm definitely happy with the quality of Arduino - they do it right (reviews of other brands usually indicate quality issues). The only problem I've had is measuring voltages with the analog inputs is no better than the 33iot so you need a routine to weed out the bad and inconsistent readings. Haven't experimented with Bluetooth or dual core programming yet.

Nice toy
Maybe a more expensive option for the ESP32 but it has all the right features and the same form factor as the standard Nano so makes it an easy upgrade for faster speeds and multi tasking and BLE.
