Great read
This was a great mystery with three different things happening and needing to be explored and culprits caught! Good job!

A fun read but annoying grammatical errors
I enjoyed this lighthearted mystery. The characters are all a bit shallow, but this isn't the kind of story that requires depth. It's the book equivalent of a scone with jam: appealing, tasty, a good balance of scone, butter and jam, uncomplicated and enjoyable. It's a shame that this goodness was marred by the occasional grammatical error. Most prevalent was the all too common error of using "X and I" when it should have been "X and me." (Remember, the pronoun doesn't change just because another person is added. If you'd say 'Give me a tour,' you say "Give Albert land me a tour.) Still, if you can manage to wave off the occasional pesky fly and still enjoy your scone, you can enjoy this book.

I loved it!
This is the fourth book in the series and every book has been a delight to read. This book was no exception. The plot is easily followed, the story flows well, the main characters are a delight to read about, and there is no substitute for witty, intelligent women in any age. I highly recommend this book and any other of the three books before it.

Exceptional story
So many pieces were brought together at the end, but we were kept guessing IUntil that moment. Then it all made sense. Can't wait for another one.

Superficial
I love historical mysteries! I read the earlier books in this series and liked them, so I was looking forward to reading this book when it was released. The premise was mildly intriguing - young aristocratic couple travels to York for their honeymoon, only to get involved in a suspicious death and a treasonous plot. The heroine, Stella, is a golden retriever of a young woman - pretty, outgoing, boisterous, and a bit goofy. The hero, Lindy, is a bit of a slow burn - handsome, aristocratic, and loyal - definitely growing on me. They have mild chemistry but little sizzle. The peripheral characters were compelling, particularly Lindy’s cousin, Owen. The storyline was contrived and a bit incredible. Overall, not a bad book but never grabbed me.

A Sidelined Honeymoon/Deceit/& Murder
It all started with the wrong suite of rooms- and the absence of pillows.Stella thinks a puzzling death and as she investigates she finds more questions than answers. And Lyndy is always at her side with love and admiration even when trouble is brewing. Never fear- it will be solved!!

A good story
I am a reader who prefers dialogue over long descriptive passages. I realize that there is fine line for writers in balancing dialogue and narration. That being said, I feel this book contained a bit too much description. I skipped over many of those passages.
