Employed this gadget under the summer sun, providing a cool shade for my laptop, thwarting bothersome glares, and maintaining privacy. No laptop overheating, the device stood up to outdoor exposure quite admirably. Its lighter weight and improved clips were appreciated. Convenience personified, it folded neatly into my bag after use. A handy tool for those working outdoors.

The idea is effective.I actually made something similar out of cardboard in the past.It is well made and sturdy.The clips are stable enough once all of them are secured.Things I do not like:- The price. At £55, it feels overpriced- The fact that it does not fold enough, so it takes way more space than the laptop is made for in a bag. It would be nice it would fold more so to fit in a laptop sleeve along with the device- It is meant for thin laptops mainly, a very thick bezel will not fit, same for say a portable secondary monitor, it will probably be too thick.- With a few extra folding points, it would be able to cover large and small laptop, rather than having two different models based on size. I actually folded mine brutally to make it fit a larger laptop, which worked to an extent (but not perfectly).It is very effective at shading the screen, which appear fully saturated even in full sun.

I keep this in a locker at a co-working space and it’s quick and easy to attach around my 13” HP Laptop (not included) if I’m to work at a desk in direct sunlight or glare. Or for added privacy too.Keeps screen sharp and vivid, enables private viewing, and keeps excess light off my screen.

If you work outside a lot, this laptop shade is a great investment.It simply clips onto your MacBook and creates a shaded area which stops the sun from reflecting on the screen making it much easier to see. It was quite simple to install but was a bit fiddly although once you get the hang of it, it is fine.The shade is quite well-made and fairly lightweight so the hinge on a MacBook can easily hold the weight of it. Another advantage is that it gives you a bit more privacy. This is nice if you are working on sensitive work in a public place.Overall, I would definitely recommend this screen shade.

I have a larger and a smaller laptop; and was only able to order the smaller version to trial.I tried it on my larger laptop; but obviously it wouldn't fit; but it fits my smaller laptop fine.It is very expensive at £54.99 for the smaller version.It has been raining of late; so I haven't had a chance to use it in the sunlight much but have tested it and it does seem fine.I have always wanted to test one of these; it's a shame I couldn't have tested out the bigger version. I'm unsure if I would pay over £64 for a large version.

I live in a hot, sunny place (Texas) and work remote. Having this sun shader means I can work outside at my pool or my favorite coffee places to get some sun and fresh air.I also travel a lot for work, which has been great to use on a plane to retain privacy. I can quickly work through items on a dark plane without worrying about other passengers staring at confidential information on my screen.I especially love that this shader is so compact, folds flat, and takes up very little space, which is great for moving around and storing. It's easy to use, lightweight, and doesn't look awkward.

Screen size is measured diagonally, I believe. This product did not fit. I overcame the problem by adding creasing to be able to fit it to my screen. HP Laptop 17. Returning the item was too much hassle. Not recommended for a 17-inch screen.

L'idée de base est excellente mais dans les faits, fuyez ce produit si vous voulez conserver votre écran ou vos bordures d'écran ! Après 1 seule utilisation, le pare soleil a arraché les bords ! De tous les côtés où il était clipsé, c'est dire à quel point ils sont durs. Heureusement que je n'ai pas testé sur Macbook !! Je renvoie illico.

Den Sunshader habe ich mir bestellt, damit ich auch einmal im Sommer auf der Terrasse im Sonnenlicht mit meinem Laptop arbeiten kann. Dabei ist es häufig so, dass der Laptop zwar schon ziemlich hell ist, bei einer Einstrahlung von der Seite oder gar von oben mit Sonnenlicht aber schnell an seine Grenzen kommt.Daher war ich ziemlich positiv überrascht, als ich das Produkt auspackte. Der Sunshader ist sauber verarbeitet und hat einen guten Kompromiss gefunden aus Stabilität und dennoch leichten Gewicht. Man muss sich vorher einmal anschauen, wie man ihn am geeignetsten auf den Bildschirm des Laptops aufsteckt. Dies geht am besten, wenn man zunächst mal mit den beiden hinteren Klemmen anfängt, die für die Oberseite des Laptop Bildschirms gedacht sind. Die Klemmen kann man mit den Zeigefingern nach hinten biegen, damit man etwas Platz hat für den Laptop Rahmen. Dabei muss man aber beachten, dass der Platz bei den Klemmen etwas begrenzt ist, also vorher einmal nachschauen, wie es am besten passt. Danach kommen die seitlichen Klemmen dran. Das ist dann aber ziemlich selbsterklärend, weil diese nur in eine Richtung passen.Was mir gut gefallen hat ist, dass der Schwerpunkt des Sun Shader sehr gut zu dem Neigungswinkel des Laptop Bildschirms passt. Das heißt, dass der Bildschirm durch das Gewicht nicht nach hinten oder nach vorne gedrückt wird, sondern in seiner normalen Position bleibt. Die Klemmen waren für meinen Laptop schon recht fest, da muss man vorsichtig sein beim Aufstecken. Der Vorteil ist dann aber, dass der Sunshader sich schwer bewegen lässt, auch wenn es einmal etwas windiger sein sollte.Die Funktionalität ist wie erwartet gut. Man kann den Bildschirm auch bei hellstem Sonnenlicht wunderbar ablesen und er stört auch kaum wenn man aus etwas schrägeren Blickwinkeln auf dem Bildschirm schauen möchte. Durch die hintere Abdeckung, die noch ein bisschen weiter nach hinten gezogen ist, hat man auch einen gewissen Sonnenschutz für die Rückseite des Laptop Bildschirms. Das hilft ein bisschen, den sommerlich warmen Temperaturen für den Bildschirm zu entgehen. Die Tastatur bleibt ziemlich offen. Man kann also ganz normal mit dem Laptop weiter arbeiten hat nur einen deutlichen Vorteil was das Display angeht. Damit kann man dann wirklich ungestört arbeiten.Alles in allem bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem Sunshader und kann ihn gerne weiterempfehlen.

I do field work, as in, I'm outside in the sun a lot. I don't have a fancy, expensive rugged laptop with a really bright screen. Sun glare just kills my eyes trying to work in the sun. This device, however, is wonderful. It fits perfectly and secures to the screen firmly. As long as the sun isn't perfectly behind you, it provides great anti-glare and my laptop is usable again!
