Q: Hi, will this cooler box really keep the ambient temperature down by - 16°C as mention in the details?

It is really fabulous, I need it for medication & Iv found it very reliable. We also bought a transformer so we can use it in the house, or hotels when we go on holiday.

Q: How long is the cable ....i.e. will it stretch from the boot to cigarette lighter at the front of the car?

The cable is 2.25m or over 8 feet long. So unless you are thinking of a stretch- limo I can't see there being a problem. Regards, Pete

Q: Does this have a mains plug also?

No it does not have a mains plug but I have a mains to 12 volt adapter which I also use for blowing up inflatable beds etc. Pete
