We like to prop open our patio door when it’s nice out to get fresh air in the apartment. We were hoping this would be a way for us to have the door open while keeping bugs out and the cat inside (cat is not allowed on our apartment patio unsupervised). It worked fine for a few days, but our cat is VERY determined and managed to rip along the seam where the zipper is sewn on. The mesh itself is much sturdier than other similar products though, and I like that it attaches to the floor. Just didn’t work for us. If you have a pet that’s not quite so determined, I’m sure this would work just fine lol. We are going to try a heavier duty pet gate with a separate screen

This was perfect for inducing my cats to each other.

I bought this screen when I adopted a new cat who is blind. She needed some time to get to know the house, so I used this screen to keep her from coming out into the living room and kitchen, and exploring one room at a time. The screen is stable, but mainly because it comes with thumbtacks to pin into the wall. The adhesive is not very good, and does not stay on but the thumbtacks do help. However, even the thumbtacks have a hard time staying in some spots and I have to keep pushing them back into the wall which now looks like Swiss cheese from all the holes. It’s aesthetically pleasing for being a random screen that blocks a door. I bought it in white because my entire apartment is painted white and my furniture is white and it blends right in. The zipper is becoming stuck a little bit, but I manage. There are no holes in the screen and no damage so far, even though sometimes my cat claws at it. Overall, it serves its purpose. I wouldn’t recommend it for a long-term, unless you take some nails and hammer it into the wall and are very careful with the zipper.

This screen is amazing. Read directions and put it on properly. Make sure to also use the tacks. My kitten has not tried to climate or escape. She respects the screen. It is very sturdy and I know because I unzip it and come through it multiple times. This was an amazing fine and beats all those $200 tall gates any day.

Bought this less than 3 months ago to block off the hallway that leads to my front door. One of our cats had been notorious for waiting by the front door to bolt out at first chance when someone entered. This did the job for a while, albeit with flaws. The tacks that come included with this are hilariously weak and fall out easily, so I had to hammer nails in to keep this in place. And I wish there was a strap or something to keep the zipper door open for longer periods if we needed to bring stuff through without possibly getting caught in the mesh. But it was nice to have some security when opening the front door and not worrying about a cat being on the other side. And then one day the bottom mesh ripped near the zipper, big enough for a cats head to fit through. So now this entire setup will need to be replaced with something else and we’re back to square one. There’s no fixing this mesh and ever getting the original strength of the material back. And tape does not stay on this for very long. So this works if you need a quick fix as soon as possible for securing your pets, but be aware over time a determined pet will scratch, bite and tear at it until they get through.
