This real is awesome for the price. Performed very well and the brakes were adjustable and responsive. I will say this is the 1st time out and I do not know how it will hold up over time. That is really my fear is the longevity of the item. Time will tell but so far awesome product. Sidenote, not sure if it is in my rod or the reel but the back of the reel that connects to the rod is fatter than the rod will allow. I actually had the reel come off while retrieving in a fish. I did make an adjustment and fix the problem but as I said it might be the rod and reel.

This reel is well worth the money. I have to keep the adjustments almost maxed out but it is a great reel. I fish out of a kayak for reference.

Put it on the bottom end of a 2 piece spin cast rod with about 70 ft of 80 lb braid. Attaching my lure retriever to make it easier to manipulate it and get my lures back. It also works well with the 80 lb test to cast a 1/4 oz weight with no backlash. A hook will straighten out before the line would break. Me likes it just fine. We'll see how it holds up over time.

It didn't perform the way I thought it would but at that price I didn't expect it to do everything I wanted but at least it would do some of the things the gear sit tight and grindings it just didn't make me feel as if it could even catch fish just pulling the line out after I put line on the spool very hard and not smooth it was a bad investment I give it no stars but I'll have to learn from this and not believe everything I see this cheap is doable

I love fishing, and my preference is a spinning reel just because I normally use light, top water baits. I used to be a regular at Academy and Bass Pro Shops. . . but not anymore. No days I sit on my couch watching football, golf, etc. and just buy my fishing gear on Amazon. I used to want to be able to see and feel the reel before buying, but Amazon makes the return process so easy that I don't worry about that anymore. This reel is absolutely beautiful. I love the white and burnt orange/goldish colors, they really just pop out. . . and it looks really sharp. It has a really ball bearings and as expected is very quiet. I have a Pflueger President and this reel is just as smooth as it. I don't have a rod for it yet, so this review is just based on taking it out of the box and stringing it with 8lb test fishing line. Can't wait to try it out and will update the review after that if needed.

I was really surprised when I got it, took it right out and started using it and it casts great once set up correctly. As with most of these inexpensive reels the magnetic brake needs to be internally adjusted or just turn the knob on the outside to almost max. Used in in salt water but I keep it rinsed off so it does not corrode. After several days fishing with it and catching several 3 to 5 lb lady fish and snook, I decided to disassemble to check the drag and oiling and internally adjust the magnetic drag to my liking. Everything looked great it is a single disc drag but thats ok, I did have to pop the drag washer off as it was stuck on one side which did not make a difference in when using it but if left as is might have caused an issue if I had caught something larger. I will also cause the drag washer to wear on one side only so i broke it loose and put some drag grease on it also. Internally adjusted the magnetic drag so that when turned to Max the spool will only turn about 1.5 rotations when spun by hand. So far the reel works great, smooth and silent.

It's a good reel for the money. I bought three of these and another brand from Ebay. These are much better. Oil them up a little before first use and should be pretty good. They aren't 150 dollar reels. But worth every penny of the 20 something bucks I paid for them. Regular rotation on the front deck for 4 months and still work properly.

I bought this reel not really knowing what to except however my exceptions have gone above and beyond. This reel is an excellent purchase with extremely good brakes and if you know what your doing then you will not have any backlash problems. Very good price for such an excellent reel is the best thing anyone can ask for.

Muy bien carrete hay que graduarlo hasta que te acostumbras a el se hacen nudos en el sedal pero son fáciles de sacar cuando está graduada recoge muy suave y tiene muy buena pinta
