There were no directions for assembly, and the arrows to indicate were the wrong direction. It is compact though and I was able to easily carry it around and travel with on a plane. Once extended it does it's job but it does flex a bit when weight is applied. That made me a little nervous, but it managed to be a fair trekking pole/cane.

Who said they were only for hiking. They are an excellent asset and aid for my mobility issues. I can walk and feel assured that I will not fall and it keeps my posture straight as opposed to using a cane.

No instructions, nor videos online of anything germane. Doesn’t even appear that there is anything for the smaller poles’ screws to attach to within the larger poles. Reviews saying the same themselves also lack actionable info (thanks for thinking of others). Long story short, completely functionless.Also keep in mind that, despite all the photographs showing two poles in use, each order only contains one pole.

This is the only hiking pole I've found that disassembles into segments that are less than 9 inches. However, we have been unable to assemble the pieces and get them locked in place. The instructions are a joke. The pictures appears to show you what not to do. The plastic locking mechanism from some segments pop off and get jammed into the segment above making locking the segment impossible. Despite hours of efforts we can't get this poles to lock nor can I find a website to provide help and now we're told we can't return it!

This is my second time purchasing. The first one came as pictured: black handle, aluminum for the rest, except the bottomtwo sections are red. The latest one is all white except the last two sections, despite the photo. Works the same.

It’s a very sturdy staff and has a spring loaded tip which is nice. Having said that, it’s much too short for my use. I carefully extended each section to its maximum and the unit was 41-1/2” from the tip to the top of the handle. To be fair, the product description says its length is 41-43 inches, I didn’t think to measure my preferred height. At 5’-10”, I’m not exactly tall. I’ll give it to my grandson to use, it’s a great unit for shorter people.
