BUT the gradient scratches if moving items carelessly, so if you want it to last longer, either add silicone adhesive dots below your artwork OR lift you item to move it around instead of dragging it into position.

I was expecting it to scratch easier. If you can take care of a photography lens, you can take care of this. I wouldn't drag anything over it, but it doesn't scratch THAT easily.If you want a matte, non reflective piece of paper you need to realize that some care must be taken with it. From a professional photography standpoint, this is a good product.If you're a hobbiest and have no clue how to handle things or if you are photographing something like puppies, yes it will scratch..

Great effect but it needs to be treated with kid gloves. The flat finish will scratch very easily. Keep it stored in a flat portfolio case. Rolling it up after each use is not advised. I use it for photographing my woodworking.

Wish I had bought this a few years ago. I took the criticisms of the fragility to heart. I use pieces of felt underneath my ceramics before I take the photo.

My product photos now look uber professional! The trick I discovered is to place the object 15-20 " in front of the screen. Improves depth of field.

The product and material of the product exceeded expectations.

I've ordered this product before and it does scratch. I just coated my new one with Rust-Oleum 327862 American Accents Spray Paint,12 Oz, Matte Clear . Hopefully it will prevent scratches and protect it from soiling. It would be great if the manufacturer would do something like this to protect the surface.

This background does wonders for my photos. It arrived with a few scratches so I try to place my items where you can't see the scratches. Otherwise its a great background.
