A really nice and convenient Dutch oven. Until now like everyone else I've used the Deep Bowl type Dutch oven. When I saw this I thought it would be much more convenient as you're not risking burning yourself reaching into the pot itself to remove the bread. As a theory it worked out great but it is much smaller than you would expect it to be. No big loaves in this little cutie but it works just fine.

This cloche is on the small side but it’s perfect for a 3 cups bread flour boule. It’s nonstick and no need to use parchment paper. Also I place the dough in the cold cloche and put inside the cold oven. I turned the oven on at 450° F (232° C) and baked covered for 45 minutes (to account for the heating up time), uncovered and baked for an additional 5 minutes to desired browning. Bread rose well and came out nice and crispy. The blue color is very pretty and because of its small size, it’s lightweight and fits anywhere on your kitchen counter.

I bake sourdough bread pretty regularly and use a French cast iron/enamaled bread oven that I absolutely love. However, for $188 I didn't want to get a second one and decided on another option. I have since been making more loaves and wanted to try out a bread cloche. I did a bunch of research into each brand and read all the reviews. I decided to give this one a try - minus the enamel. Baked two loaves tonight and they came out perfect! No weird small or issues. Now, I only do a cold bake with my sourdough. I put the bread in a cold oven (covered), set the temp to 425 and let it bake. I then remove the lids and let it bake for another 15 minutes. This works great for me and I don't see the need to pre-heat the oven at all. A great investment. For those who have complained about rust, you have to be diligent about proper care for your bread pans. They must be cleaned and seasoned properly. They cannot be left to sit in a sink in water. Please make sure to research proper care and you shouldn't have any issues whatsoever.

Made my first sourdough ever and this little cloche worked like a charm! It’s the perfect size if you want a smaller loaf or are short on space. Don’t spend hundreds of dollars, this is cast iron and enameled on the outside like all the others. And it’s so cute! Highly recommend! I may get another!

Cast iron bread cloche is well made and looks great. My sourdough bread cooks perfectly in it. The bonus proofing basket and scoring knife work exceptionally well.

If you’re a sourdough baker who loves the artisan crust but doesn’t always want a full-size loaf—this little cast iron cloche is a dream. It’s the perfect size for halving your sourdough recipe and baking smaller, personal loaves. The cast iron holds heat beautifully, creating excellent oven spring and a crisp, golden crust. I love using it for test batches or gifting mini loaves. It fits easily in the oven and is much easier to handle than a full-size Dutch oven. I made little sourdough pumpkins and they turned out beautifully in them! Just take your recipe for one loaf and just cut it in half! I bought two of these and they fit perfectly with even a full size Dutch oven next to them. Solid quality, great price, and a must-have if you bake often and want to experiment with smaller bakes!

Very happy with this item. Bigger than I expected (7.5”). It makes quite a large loaf of bread. So happy with it, that I ordered the smaller version ( 6.5”) which was a package deal, and included a rising basket and a bread scoring blade. It hasn’t arrived yet but looking forward to receiving it Recommend this cloche to bread makers who are searching for a very well made product.

Absolutely stunning little bread pan. A bit small so will use this for making smaller sourdough loaves. I'm excited to try it out and is a great addition to my bread pans!

Use this and a smaller one in my bbq/oven to bake bread and toad in the hole. Good value in comparison to other brands.
