I was looking for a template with various sized ellipses, and when I ran across the Aleks Melnyk #204 Metal Ellipse Template, I thought I'd give it a try, so I went ahead and ordered one.First off, it's good quality with no rough spots, smells and issues. It's not floppy and the edges aren't too sharp. I've found the sizes of the ellipses to be quite useful for the art project I got it for. I liked them a lot with pencils, markers and colored pencils.. One thing I want to mention that I've only used plastic templates before, and a difference with a stiffer or metal template is you need to use them on flat paper with watercolors as if any part lifts, paint will get underneath, which could still happen unless you control the amount of wet paint on the brush, but this is just physics, not an issue with the product.Overall I'm very happy with this template. The quality is very nice, there's a good variety of sizes of ellipses, and it definitely does the job well that I ordered it for. And btw, if you use it with markers, you'll be happy to hear that it's super easy to clean.

I do lapidary work as a hobby and this is a great addition to my lapidary tools. Some stencils I have seen are pretty flimsy but not this one. Should be able to be used for years. I highly recommend this item.

Strong, sturdy stencil. I guess I should have measured because this is smaller than I had hoped. Wanted to use as a sewing pattern template, but not quite large enough for that. Might be able to use for smaller pieces. Anyway, guess that’s a le problem. This is a good, strong stencil!
