Perfect fit -Get the right one!
Classy piece. Smooth, refined, and well made. No burrs or sharp edges. PERFECT FIT. Take EXACT measurements of your current block to be sure you get the right one. It fit my Indonesian-made Squier Bullet perfectly - screw holes perfectly aligned, tremolo arm perfectly aligned and threaded. The tremolo arm screws in securely and doesn't wobble, moves easily but also stays in place.Note: all Squiers are not the same - even of the same model name. My China-made Bullet Start is quite different from my Indonesian Bullet Strat. Body thickness, weight, tuner placement, neck specs, and likely bridge specs. I ordered the one labeled for Indonesian Bullet Strat, but not before verifying the measurements. I looked at the one labeled for both Affinity and Bullet Strat and the specas would not have worked for my Indonesian Bullet. Maybe it would have worked for my China Bullet. The specs are pictured for every model. My friend's China-made Bullet Strat is also different from my China-made one ordered at the same time. Different tuner placement and size of tuners for example. The key to these replacement parts is to measure your original guitar part FIRST.I've seen pictures and complaints in bad reviews saying it didn't fit but the picture shows it is off by exactly the measurement which would have required a different model. MEASURE and you'll likely be very happy.

It fits china Squier affinity HSS
It fits except for the whammy hole, so you will need to enlarge it just under 1/2 diameter. Improved clarity significantly in both the clean channel and distortion. You’re gonna have to change your strings even if you have locking tuners like me. They will come up shorter after assembly due to the block being longer than stock. And your stock whammy will no longer be needed because the threads on the block fit a thicker whammy. Apparently a 6mm whammy bar which I will have to get. Another mod/upgrade in the books on my project beater guitar. Looking for a black tremelo and whammy now. I will probably have to enlarge that one too. I also can’t wait to get a brass nut to replace the stock plastic one

A huge improvement over whatever the ‘almost-metal’ was comprising my stock bridge.
Much MUCH more mass now in terms of the weight and the overall dimensions of the Squire stock bridge. Installing this new trem block was the first time I had taken my stock bridge completely out of the guitar body, and I was shocked at how much more this new block actually weighs in direct comparison. It seems to be very well machined, and I was able to confirm with digital calipers that all the dimensions are spot on with what Squire/Fender list as appropriate for import Strat bodies. Front to back it DOES fit within the trem routing & WILL allow you to use the back cover if you want. In other words, it won’t be sticking out the back.I only gave this trem block four of five stars. That’s too harsh, as it deserves more in the order of maybe 4.75… but that isn’t allowed. My only real criticism is that I lost some dive-bomb capability secondary to the increased size, and after double checking all of the specs it does seem as if Musiclily (or whoever they may contract some manufacturer jobs out to) might have failed to machine the block quite far enough down in this one dimension. Only just, but it could’ve been caught during production. That being said - I’ve had genuine Fender made in the good ol’ US of A replacement parts that were all manner of ‘off’ & screwed up. This isn’t meant to be a knock on Musiclily or anyone they contract with. It happens, and this thing is a HUGE improvement to my import Strat. I can’t think your’s will be any less of an improvement. So again, four out of five but only because Amazon doesn’t allow fractions. It’s an actual issue, so if I’m going to be honest in the review (honesty, which I rely heavily on when I’m looking to buy guitar parts here) I can’t not explain it. Even with a relatively inexpensive part or component, not much is worse than searching & searching, then waiting & waiting, only to end up cussing & cussing, because you ended up with a bad or wrong item.It is substantially heavier and quite a bit thicker longitudinally (head to tail / headstock to bridge), and at least in my import Strat body it only just fits. Meaning the space within the routing is only going to allow about 1/4 of the dive bombing possible with the stock bridge. That isn’t an issue for me, but it might be for some. In my opinion, what makes up for that is that this new ‘shorty’ block absolutely rings! And the sustain is at least 3x what the stock zinc-plated ‘barely qualifies as metal at all’ block could offer up. So a word to the wise here - measure measure MEASURE your Strat body’s stock trem block AND the routing also, to make sure that you’ve at least got enough space or capacity to accommodate this block. Even within the Squire/Fender range, there can be a fairly big difference in the dimensions. Squire’s can have lower prices I guess because they can save on materials by using less wood for their bodies. Unless you know what to look for, most people have no idea and never notice that… but a Fender American or Mexican factory body (and even in some of their made in Japan models) can be up to 1/2 to 9/16” thicker front to back. It can cause us a headache here and there, but that can’t outweigh the fun or upgrading a guitar & making it what and how we want to.Overall - for an import Strat upgrade I can’t imagine you regretting pulling the trigger on this. Like I mentioned, remember to measure measure MEASURE & you’ll be OK. The payoff of that much improvement in tonality and resonance, along with the huge addition to your sustain, will be obvious to you in the end.Go ahead, you know you want to. You’re looking for an upgrade tremolo block for your Stratocaster - for a reason after all.Be well, God bless, and rock on!

For a MIM strat
This is a really nice quality brass block with good weight to it. as far as string alignment and mounting bolt alignment it matched up very well with my 2004 made in Mexico Stratocaster, the only issue is the tremolo armhole does not line up. if you fo not plan to use your tremolo then it is a direct replacement and can be used with no modification, however if you do want to insert the tremolo arm and use your tremolo you will have to drill out the plate so that the arm will line up, also the standard arm does not fit, it is a larger diameter. Overall I am very happy because I was expecting to have to modify.

Solid block, excellent price
This is a really nice improvement to a guitar for the price. If you have a strat that has one of those thin metal tremolo blocks, get one of these. Your tuning stability and sound conduction will improve. It’s a simple install, and it’s a quick way to make a cheap guitar better. One caution: the 52.5mmx40mm size I bought is just a tiny bit too long for the body thickness of a Squier Sonic Stratocaster. I’ll have to modify the rear cavity cover so that it fits flat against the body. A 52.5mmx35mm (or close to that) would have been better.

Great Upgrade for a 2017 Squier Affinity Strat with a Hollow Pot Metal Block
Nicely milled block that fit my 2017 Squier Affinity Strat with a Hollow Pot Metal Block. The tremolo bar also fit well and a bit snugly. Make sure to get the threads of the bar all the way in so you don’t break the bar off. Huge increase in natural sustain. ICS17XXXXX S/N. Made in Indonesia at the Cort factory. Nice upgrade.

Exactly what i needed for my build
This block, after careful measuring, was the exact block i needed to finish my build and the trem arm screwed right it to boot! Solid brass, solid product!

Queda perfecto

Jackson JS24 DKAM (non-Floyd)
I took a gamble since I couldn't find a brass block specifically for a Jackson non-Floyd Rose bridge, and I didn't want to remove my existing block just to measure it. The trem hole is a few millimeters off, but the other holes line up fine and the block is the same dimensions as the factory one. I don't use the trem bar so I'm not really concerned.Interestingly enough, the factory Jackson block is solid and weighs similar to this brass block. I wasn't expecting the factory block to be solid on a lower-end guitar. I don't expect any difference in the sound, but I like to experiment!
