Loved All of them but the Cinnamon, Some similar to other mints
I purchased these because I had recently tried some of spry's regular dental defense system cinnamon mints (240 ct) and loved them a whole lot, in a kittens, hearts, frolicking in the meadows soaking in all of the wildflowers sort of way. And I was running low, I've had a week that dropped a stress bomb that was off the stinko meters charts on me, and once I love something a company has put out, I like to try their other stuff to see if I might like something as much or even more. I like a bit of variety in my life...So, these came yesterday, and for the most part, I really like them. I did put up a picture of the mints spread across my palm in the order I am going to discuss them from left to right, because they are pretty different in taste, if not shape. The texture and shape of these is different from their dental defense mints, which are harder, smoother, and round. These have a bit more of a grainier texture, but they are bigger, and it does take me longer to dissolve one in my mouth, which can be a plus. So, the spearmint one tastes a lot like icebreakers, and even the green flecks are reminiscent of that. The flavor is slightly more toned down then an ice breaker mint, but it is similar enough that I find it a good sub if you want to avoid whatever is in an icebreakers, namely aspartame, which in this house we do. The texture isn't quite as smooth as an icebreaker, but...I liked this one a lot.The cinnamon one is the only one I couldn't see myself buying again interestingly enough. You can taste the cinnamon, but there is a hint of something else in the flavoring that I can't quite peg that kind of gives it a not entirely cinnamon like feel, and I wasn't sure how much I enjoyed that. Their dental defense system cinnamon mints are totally awesome, they taste like cinnamon altoids, and I think if I want cinnamon mints in the future, those are the ones I'm sticking with. The peppermints (in the middle) I really liked. They are very similar to altoids peppermints in flavor and intensity, albeit the texture is less chalky, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. As much as I loved altoids back when sugar and I were still an item, the chalky texture was not something that was my favorite, but I liked the flavor enough to put up with it. So I find these to be an improvement in texture. For the berry and the lemon crème, I liked both of these flavors. They are not intensely sweet, but since I don't do so much sugar outside of an occasional treat with the family, I actually prefer that. Because I find many candies and treats to be too sweet in taste now. The flavor on both is mellow but pleasant, and I did enjoy them. The texture makes them too dissimilar to tic tacs for any sort of real comparison there, so I just have to say I liked them on their own merits, not because they reminded me of another mint brand I liked. The price point is a bit higher then what I could get some other mints for of a comparable amount, but I can't do the sugars the way I used to for health reasons, we need all aspartame products out of our house because our son has a genetic disorder that doesn't play well with aspartame, and sometimes a girl just needs some mints, so I'm not going to hold that too much against them, but it may be a factor for you to consider. It is also worth mentioning that Xylitol, which these are sweetened with, has been shown in some studies to inhibit the growth of the bacteria the cause cavities, which is a major plus that neither sugar nor aspartame can provide and may be a benefit well worth paying a little more for.So overall, I really did like these, except the cinnamon which is still ok enough that I have no problem finishing the container I just wouldn't personally get them again since I like spry's other cinnamon mints more, and am pretty happy they actually arrived when expected, and were not actually delayed as the post office marked them in their system ;)

Excellent! No after-taste!
These mints are excellent! I purchased these after my dentist recommended trying candy with Xylitol in them (as it is good for your teeth). The Berry flavor is my favorite. These mints are cooling and minty, with a slight sweet “berry” flavor. These mints are not too hard or too soft and chalky. They have NO bad after-taste, and they leave your mouth feeling fresh for a while after the mint is gone. These Spry Gems are much better tasting than the regular Spry Xylitol Mints. I highly recommend these mints (they are among my 2 favorite brands)!I bought several brands of mints with Xylitol in them (all brands I tried are pictured with the mints under the package – I have included pennies in the pictures to show the size of mints). Below is a short review/description of the mints I tried:Spry Xylitol Mints, Natural Berry Blast – Mints are small and round. The taste is not bad, but the mint or berry is not very strong. These mints are very “smooth” and they have a slight after-taste that I don’t care for. I really like to other Gem Mints by Spry, though. I would purchase these mints again, if other brands were not available, but they are not my favorite.Spry Xylitol Mints, Natural Peppermint – These mints are small, smooth, and round, and like the berry flavor, have an after-taste that I do not care for. I would purchase these mints again, if other brands were not available, but they are not my favorite.ACT Dry Mouth Lozenges Soothing Mint - These mints feel and taste more like a cough drop than a mint. They have a light mint flavor, and they also have a slight after-taste that I don’t care for. I do not recommend these mints, and I would not purchase these mints again.PUR Mints Aspartame Free Peppermint – These mints are excellent! They are the most like Altoids that I tried. They have a strong cooling and mint taste (they are not as strong as Altoids, but they have a similar consistency/hardness as Altoids). These mints have NO after-taste. I highly recommend these mints!PUR Mints Aspartame Free, 100% Xylitol, Tangerine Tango - These mints are excellent! They are the most like Altoids that I tried. They have a strong cooling and mint/fruit taste (they are not as strong as Altoids, but they have a similar consistency/hardness as Altoids). These mints have NO after-taste. These are my favorite mints containing Xylitol! I highly recommend these mints! Please mark if you find my review helpful. Thank you so much!
