First of all this blanket was purchased for a woman who is constantly ice cold. Regardless of the temperature she is cold. She works overnights and has issues getting a good sleep after getting home. This was purchased as a Christmas gift. The outer covering is very soft and comfortable and the inner weighted liner is uniform and fits the outer cover well. The reason for the 4 star rating is for 2 issues. First the tie downs (that connect to the inner liner to keep it uniform) on the outer cover almost all immediately ripped out when she moved the blanket. This may be due to the fact she gripped only the outer cover instead of the entire blanket. I was able to fasten up some much beefier tie downs. Second the zipper has already come apart. There is appox a 3' long zippered opening to install the inner liner to allow all parts to be washed. The zipper just pulled straight off but I was able to get it back in and functional. I added a beefier stitch to both ends of the zipper so this won't happen again. Overall this is a wonderful blanket, only wish the quality of the outer liner was higher. Expect to have to do some minor repairs.

Finally… A fitted sheet that doesn’t bunch on top of my mattress. I have an absolutely fabulous Tempur-pedic bed but the mattress is not extra deep like most fitted sheets come nowadays. This fitted sheet has a 12 inch pocket which is the same height as my mattress. The Egyptian cotton is of high-quality and matches. Very good quality flat sheet and pillowcases. I already have. I will now look to complete this set but since I only do white sheets, there is no mismatch at this time. I was initially concerned about the relatively thin, rubber trim and not having corner straps but so far so good… Nothing has popped off. Remely satisfied with this purchase and will get additional pieces.

Update: after a few nights the sheets much have stretched out some and now they are sliding off the bed. Still Better than most but not perfectIt’s so hard to find sheets for my tempurpedic mattress. Most sheets are made for deep mattresses and are too loose and slide off my tempurpedic. This one is snug and hasn’t moved an inch.

The blanket comes folded up in a plastic bag and the chenille cover is folded up in there separately. There was no smell. You will need to unzip the cover, put the weighted blanket inside the chenille cover, and tie the blanket to the cover by threading the ties on the blanket through the loops on the cover. That took me about 10 minutes alone but would have been much easier with another set of hands. After zipping the cover back, your blanket will be ready for snuggling! The cover is a beautiful royal blue and it is very soft. The blanket is grey and made of small squares of fabric containing the weight. The squares in the center of the blanket contain more weight than the squares on the edges of the blanket so most of the weight is concentrated toward the center of the blanket. It is heavy enough to require effort to pull it up to your chin but not so heavy that I feel restrained or trapped by it. I was concerned that I would feel too hot under any blanket but especially a 20 pound blanket but the fabric is very cool so I have not gotten any hotter than I did with my regular comforter and it is easy to just flip it over to one side until I get cold again. It is also easy to just slip my feet out if they need to breathe. The blanket is big enough for one person but the first few nights, we tried to share it. It wasn’t quite big enough for that. I usually get up 1-2 times each night but have found that I am not getting up every night and when I do, it has only been once! I have found it helpful to straighten the blanket out each morning, pull the corners tight and then flip the top to the bottom. This helps keep the weight spread out.

I probably purchased about 4 or 5 different sheet sets and none of them fit. I have a 11 inch mattress from Ashley Furniture and this sheet fits perfectly! No more pulling and tucking the sheet everyday. It is a little pricey for just one sheet but I would definitely buy it again to avoid the aggravation of dealing with loose baggy sheets. My only regret is that I didn't find it sooner. 10/10 I recommend!

Finally sheets that fit my mattress and don’t have excess fabric. My mattress is not deep and all other brands were way too loose resulting in bunchy, wrinkled sheets.
