After getting some lab results back, I went on a hunt for a coffee creamer that contained less oil and sugar, which was also more sustainable and, most importantly, that I actually liked! After several tries, I happened upon SOWN Organic Oat Creamer Sweet & Creamy - Barista Oat Milk Non Dairy Coffee Creamer. Seeing this at the grocery store, I picked up one container and gave it a try. Lo and behold, I liked the taste and consistency! This creamer is not watery, it is sweet enough that I don't need to add sugar, and I don't have to add a lot of it to get my coffee taste just right. Given the cost at the grocery store, I hopped on Amazon and found a better price with the subscribe and save option. I'm one happy coffee drinker! If you are looking for a substitute for the Coffeemate or International brands, of coffee creamers, give this one a try. I was able to replace my Sweet Italian coffee creamer flavor with SOWN Organic Oat Creamer Sweet & Creamy.

It's very hard to find organic non dairy coffee creamer, even in the specialty stores. I try to consume organic foods, especially in grains, and since I eat organic oats, I figured I should probably look for a creamer brand that uses organic oats. A lot of creamers you buy in the store have terrible additives too. I was excited and had high hopes after I discovered this brand online, and read all the positive reviews. I ordered the three pack of the sweet and creamy, and went through ALL three cartons before leaving this review. I wanted to make sure it wasn't a quality control issue. Here's my thoughts. The CONS: The first thing I was disappointed about was discovering it had canola oil in it. I understand most non dairy creamers/milks need oil to act as emulsifiers, but there are a lot of healthier options out there as far as oils go, and I was really surprised to see one of the worst oils health wise in an organic creamer. On top of that, there seems to be enough that no matter how much I mix it, the oil ends up settling on the top of my coffee. I haven't noticed this before on any creamer I've ever used that's had sunflower oil in it. So I'm not sure if it's a ratio thing or the type of oil they use. But it doesn't settle well while drinking. The second thing I was disappointed in was a lot of people were saying how creamy it was and that was not my experience at all. When I've purchased oatmilk creamers like Chobani or Oat Yeah, for example, I am able to use my little electric frother to froth it. This didn't froth at all, and it definitely didn't have a creamy texture in my opinion. Thirdly, I was disappointed in the taste. It may have been the oil, but it had a strange after taste to me. It took a lot of the creamer to even be able to taste any flavor. I'm giving it two stars for the organic ingredients, normal sugar content and for not having any bad additives. Overall, though, this was a miss for me. I think there are other creamers out there with healthier ingredients, better taste, and creamier, even if they aren't organic. Won't be purchasing again.

Dawn seemed to come extra early that Sunday morning, I was awake already, drenched in sweat and cigarette smoke. This day was a big one...my son's first karate class. I'd been up all night worrying about all the different scenarios. Cliques, fight clubs, spilling.... My wife tried to reassure me for a while but , and then finally moved into the guest room in order to be able to sleep. It didn't really help since my cries of worry could be heard all over the house. Our shared lack of sleep and my extreme worry/panic made for a pretty rough start to the day. That is until we opened our SOWN Organic Oat Creamer Sweet & Creamy - Barista Oat Milk Non Dairy Coffee Creamer.... Honestly, after being burned before by Strawberry Quick and the like, we were skeptical, but this simple little bottle transformed a bland cup of government coffee into a sweet treat, and a pretty sweet start to the day! I still think about that day sometimes....

The BEST creamer, hands down, regardless of contents. I LOVE this creamer and also buy the unsweetened option, it's that good.

I needed to reduce my sugar and fat intake. I tried this product because: 1) it’s organic, 2) it’s low-fat (0 grams saturated fat in a 1 tablespoon serving), and 3) it’s low sugar (4 grams added sugar in a serving). I found this product to be one of the creamiest non-dairy creamers I’ve tried. Even so, in my cup of coffee I supplement a serving of this with a little 2% milk. The 4 grams of sugar is not as sweet as I was used to, but it does provide enough sweetness to be satisfying, and my taste has adjusted. Also, a teaspoon of this product adds a pleasing sweetness to a 1/2 cup serving of frozen fruit. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) gives this product a score of 5. That is not a really bad score, but neither is it particularly good. I would like it if the manufacturer could find a way to improve that score.
