Works like a clock...
This is a well designed product that works just like you would like. Very easy to setup. The light is fully adjustable so you can dim it if you are light sensitive when you go to bed. The sound quality is good and it also looks good on the nightstand. Couldn't ask for much more. I much prefer an alarm that you can set just with your voice - no fumbling to fiddle with awkwardly places buttons or dials. I also like waking up to particular songs that I can set it to from Amazon Prime Music. The only complaint I have for it relates to volume control. I set the volume for the alarm to be low. And that is how it works. Perfect so far. But the next night if I want to set the alarm to come on at a different time, the volume can be quite loud when the Echo Dot tells me my alarm is set for 5:30 AM with music by the Judds. I say can be as it happens about 75% of the time but not all the time. A minor inconvenience and one I can easily deal with.

Great for a kid!
So we purchased two Echo Dot stands/holders, one for our daughter and one for our son. Unfortunately for our son, the selection of holders was not as vast as that for girls, but we found this product which upon arrival looked good and seem to function as advertised. It's a simple clock that holds the dot adequately. I was a little confused as to the power of this device, as it does have space for batteries, however, for backup! The primary power is a small connection from the clock to the dot and then to a power source, which all the connections/wires are provided, just different than what I was used to. Not a big deal as it all worked well once connected and looks great on my sons night stand! i would recommend this, just know it's a simple clock that holds the dot.... perfect for some, but not all!

Great space saver!
Update: I have one complaint about this product. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t keep time entirely accurately. It runs a tiiiiiiny fraction of a second slow, so every few months I notice that it’s suddenly 2 or 3 minutes off of the actual time. It happens very slowly, but I have to reset the time frequently as it gets behind. Not a huge deal, but slightly annoying.I bought this item to save some space on my small bedside shelf. Instead of a clock and my echo dot, I now I have both in a small footprint. The clock dims enough that my husband is not complaining about the light and even though I feel like the sound is slightly muffled, overall it’s totally worth the money and a great product.

Sure It’s Just A Clock, If That’s All You Want It To Be
The media could not be loaded. I had an echo dot in a case with a clock sitting just next to it essentially taking up unnecessary space on my nightstand. I saw this clock that was the same size of the clock I had that fit in the area I had room for and figured I’d take a look into it. After reading all of the reviews, my biggest worries were the dimming effect not dimming low enough at night, the clock not keeping up with the accurate time, and the echo dot not responding well due to it being enclosed within the clock. After some consideration, I figured why not, returned my old clock that was taking up space, and purchased the Zentech Desk Clock. I’ve had it for a week now and I couldn’t be more happy with my decision. All of my worries have been put to rest; the dimmer can literally be turned off so I don’t know how there was a complaint that it can’t be dimmed low enough. Secondly, the clock has literally kept pace in displaying the time exactly on the dot as the time on my iPhone & I’ve come across no issues of having to reset my clock at any point. Lastly, as displayed in the video you can see that the echo dot has no problem hearing my commands. I have my dot connected to a couple TP Link smart plugs for both my lights and TV, but something about adding the clock as a place holder for the dot really made me feel like I was fully utilizing it all. It displays the time accurately, it reduces space on my nightstand, and it has no issue when I call out to the echo for voice commands; it perfectly ties together not only my echo, but also my room as it has a very sharp and clean look. Definitely would recommend this product to anyone, but like I said it’s just a clock unless you’re going to utilize it to it’s fullest advantage.

Great concept but needs improvement
Love the size and easy install. Only issue I have is that I have to prop it up on a coaster in order for Alexa to hear me correctly. When I place it directly on my nightstand I have to scream directly at it and half the time It still doesn’t work. I looked online to see if there was something wrong with my Alexa but seems that it works best when it can pick up the sounds from all around it. Placing it sideways on a coaster did the trick to be able to go back to a regular speaking voice. Since I use it primarily for an alarm clock it was very frustrating to have to scream at it and defeated the purpose of being able to stay in bed and ask for a snooze 😴

Like it even more than I thought I would
I like this clock for the Echo Dot even more than I thought I would. Other than a large clock in my living room & appliance clocks in the kitchen, I have no clocks in my house (forest fire last year, still replacing things). I just keep asking Alexa 'what time is it' . Right after I set it up I was coming out of another room & it was nice to be able to see the time. The display can be dimed all the way down so you can't see it at all if it bothers you at night. I find the display to be really great, easy to read, but it doesn't have the same glaring brightness that other digital clocks have. I don't find it to be annoyingly bright at night. It looks nice on my nightstand and is less likely to get knocked off like the Dot can if it just sits there. The Echo Dot works exactly the same as before, no problems with voice command. It's easy to set up. Someone said they unplugged the Echo cord from the clock and it came apart. I don't know that I would have found any reason to unplug it once it was setup, but because of that review I did unplug it after setup & had no problem, I did do it very carefully just in case, but it seems securely intact. Someone else thought it was a little pricey for 'a piece of plastic' , maybe...it is just a holder for your Dot with a clock in it, but it works, it looks nice, for me it was really worth it as I found I liked it even more than I thought I would.
