Will it stand up to hobby rockhounding use on granite and basalt?

I used a cheap brick hammer in Utah on my vacation and it was ok for a couple of hours and then the rocks started to win as they reshaped the striking surfaces. You need a hardened steel hammer for hard rocks. Drop Forged is meaningless unless it is also hardened steel. Take my advice, spend the money on a true hardened steel hammer. I ordered this one and it was so poorly forged that I returned it right away. It was a long way from "precision" so I'm also guessing the steel is a long way from "hardened".

Will this rock pick tunnel through my wall in under 20 years?

It depends on which end of the hammer you use. I suggest the pick, or the hammer, but not the handle.

Is this food die shaping raw crystals?

Its a rock hammer. Hand held perfect size and price was right That question made no sense
