I waited until after I had used this warmer for a party to write my review. I'm very pleased with it and glad I got it.What I really like about this food warmer:- its 3 compartments hold quite a bit of food - you can host a somewhat large party and it will hold enough food- Clear lids means that even with the lid closed, your guests can see the food without having to open it- you could remove the containers and serve small bites or canapés directly on the warm flat surface to keep them warm (with parchment paper underneath)- you can also remove the containers and use your own dishes- Very easy to wash and clean- The ability to control the temperature meant my food did not get dry from overheating. I served meatballs with BBQ sauce and throughout the whole evening they were kept warm yet did not dry outWhat I don't like:- the cable is somewhat short - I could have used another foot of power cable. But that's the only thing I don't like.Overall - I would recommend this, especially at the price of around $40 it's a great buy!

i used to use warming trays with sterno heat, but not only would you need to buy the sterno fuel but it would make the room hot with the flames burning which would get oppressive indoors. This electric warmer is perfect for keeping food warm for hours without adding heat to the room temperature. Price is right- highly recommend!

I purchased three of these food warmers for my mom before Thanksgiving so that she could keep all the food warm as she was cooking it and she absolutely loved it. No more heating things back up once everything is done. She just added everything in one by one and after everything was finished everybody enjoyed the fresh hot meal. Another great thing is that they don't draw that much power but they definitely get hotter than you need on max setting. Also very easy to clean since the three stainless dishes are removeable from the base along with the stainless skirt around them. My mom loved them so much we used just a single one for Christmas making things great and easy again. Overall these food warmers are excellent and I would recommend them to anyone. Absolute Great product.

It does work but you need to preheat it for at least 30 minutes before hand and yes, I placed hot foods in the trays. It was on for about 2 hours while we had Thanksgiving dinner buffet style. When it was over, my wife was surprised how hot our granite counter top was to the touch when the warmer was moved. If we had laminated counter tops such as formica, the device may have lifted or warped the counter. It's nice looking but kind of bulky to store in your kitchen. I also ran side by side, with the warmer, a heated mat. It isn't as elegant looking as the warmer but it did a good job keeping food warm and the beauty of it is we can use aluminum pans and toss them in the trash when done. The mats also roll up and easily stored in a kitchen cabinet. I'm returning the warmer and purchasing another mat. By the way, the wife also used the mat to speed up the rising of the dough.

We had a family get together with three seperate side dishes and it worked great. Kept everything the right temperature, looks nice, holds a good amount and temp adjustable. It's not for cooking, but keeps things warm. I would recommend for that use.
