Lots of fun
We've had lots of fun learning to play pickle ball. These paddles and balls are well made and sturdy.

Expensive for beginner set
It's a great set up for a beginner, but it's just too expensive at $89. Comes with everything needed for 2 to play except the court and net. Looks good and the gear seems well made, but it's not pro level equipment or anything.

HANDY BALL RETRIEVER!
I am a total “newbie” to pickleball, and I’m slowly learning how to play the game, how to keep score, and learning all of the rules. I still need a lot of practice and have a lot to learn, so this is just my opinion on why I like this paddle so much.I’ve only played tennis before, so it took me a while not wanting to smash the ball every time. But as my daughter put it, pickleball is a game of finesse, and it all starts with control. My daughter and I had lots of fun using these paddles down at our neighborhood outdoor court. These paddles have a really cool design and have a nice weight to them (8 ounces). The paddle is made out of a polymer honeycomb core, so it was a perfect weight for me, as my other paddle feels a tad heavier. The handles are slimmer than my previous paddle, and it felt good in my hand, as I have learned not to fully grip the handle so hard, but instead to use my thumb and index finger, or use “soft hands” instead of the “death grip,” as it helps keep my hand loose and avoids the dreaded pop-ups.We practiced hitting the back and forth, and found that I was hitting it pretty good because there is supposedly a large sweet spot on the face of the paddle. My balls stayed inbounds instead of me hitting them out and we enjoyed some pretty good rallies until one of us hit it into the net…or I got tired.Included in the set are two pickleball paddles, four outdoor balls, two ball retrievers, a mesh bag and a portable carrying case. I had no idea how to use the ball retriever that came with the paddle, so I looked it up on online on how to use them. You attach the retriever to the end of your paddle handle, and you use the little cup end to pick up the ball without having to bend over. Where have you been all of my life? I found it to be quite handy, and it definitely saved my knees and back. Since we were only practicing, I didn’t mind having the retriever on the end of my handle. I didn’t really notice any weight difference, but I’m not sure how it’ll affect me during a real match.I think this set is great for beginners like me, and even for intermediate players like my daughter and my wife. Plus, it comes with a nice carrying case!

5 stars!!!
I bought this for my husband. This is a great upgrade from his existing composite pickleball paddle set. He finds the power and grip of these paddles to be amazing. It would have been great if the set included a few outdoor balls as well. Nevertheless a great buy. The pickleball picker is a great bonus and comes in handy. My husband is very happy with this product. 5 stars!!!
