Good rice cooker, if you make large portions of rice
Had to replace my old rice cooker after it stopped working after 10 years of regular use.I like the fact that this one has an on/off switch, which my old one didn’t have. It’s a bit more difficult to make smaller portions of rice in this one , as the markings on the inside don’t cover two portions. So if you are cooking for 2-3 people, you might want to look for a different one. Otherwise a good rice cooker ( 4 months since bought it)

Worst Product You Are Warned
I have never written a review before but feel I must. Take heed what others say. There is no purpose for this device. It is essentially the same thing as a pot with a timer. That is it, it turns off on timer. You can not of course set the time. You also can not control the temperature. It naturally does not cook at the temperature it should, it will burn your rice. Just as with a pot, you have to monitor when it starts to boil and turn the temp down. Though with this you have to control the lid to achieve the same thing. This entirely defeats the purpose. You will screw this up every time and it will explode with rice foam and your dinner and counter us ruined.Such cookers are meant to be something you fill up with ingredients, turn it on and walk away from. The piece of crap requires just as much babysitting as a pot. Worse so as it is easy to turn a pot down to low instead if guessing the magic lid angle.Spend the 10 extra pounds and get an actual smart cooker or something that has at least some sort of weight or temperature sensor and basic control system.Classic example of fake cheap Chinese products. It looks like a rice cooker. It us not a rice cooker. I'm sure the manufacturers would devolve that point into pedantic nonsense given the fact that it is possible to turn dry rice into a burnt sludge and therefore fitts the definition of cooked. The worst part is I had some fault with my computers configuration and for a few days everything I ordered on Amazon was ordered twice. I have two sets of billiard balls of the wrong size, two soup ladies, and two of these useless fake rice destroyers!!!Yes I know how to cook rice. All kinds.I am a Computer Engineer so do know I would stake my license to practice on the fact this is just fakey fakey product that cant even do the fackery well. The only way to get an use of this crap bucket would be to conduct an empirical science study and create a table of rice and water ratios after ruining countless batches to find that magic volume of rice it wants to cook if you can remember to remove to lid at the right time.Do not buy this product. In fact, do not buy anything sold from this vendor or anything made from this manufacturer.Buy a proper rice cook. Or just use a pot.A least with my two sets of billiard balls I can make up the world's greatest game of corquet/ yard snooker.I would take it apart and build in the sensors and control system it should have if I felt like wasting my time and my money.

Does the job
I bought this to replace a previous rice cooker that I had had for years, it's a similar process to use but sadly not as good. If you fill up too much with the water it bubbles through the air hole and over the side and also makes the lid rattle so I have to put a cloth on top to hold it in place. Sometimes the rice is just right, other times it's either mushy as it's not boiled enough or still hard.It takes a bit of trial and error but I would suggest smaller portions and less water. But for the price it's quite good value and I've bought one for my daughter..

Disappointed that it did not come with a steamer pan. Otherwise, gets the job done.
