His plans start to falter when he eyes lay on Rocco’s wife Ravenna.Ravenna is a strong female she’s having to pay for her brothers debt and marry Rocco. The mental and physical abuse she endures never discourages her from her goal which is to runaway. The way Ravenna sets everything up making her herself look like a trophy wife with the shopping and spa trips and visiting her mom was a very clever way of her making money so she can plan her escape for herself, her mom and brother.Although Az wants to anticipate his revenge on Ravenna to as she’s Rocco’s wife he seems to get drawn to her and his feelings are changing because now he wants Ravenna.I’d say this book is very clearly written with the way Az sets things up. How he manages to blow up places and zig zagging his way so no security camera can capture him, even when it comes to faking his death. Both Az and Ravenna’s scheming ways to get what they want and wanting out a very cleverly written.Both also share amazing chemistry and reader is also on edge thinking they might get caught.I actually wanted a scene were everyone learns of Rocco’s true nature and find out his secret too. That man deserved humiliation.Just like Sergei Az also shares a funny banter relationship with Felix(known as Albert in book 3) it was nice reunion between the three. A mission to save another former recruit Kai.

I liked the book, but it is sadly not going on my rereads list.It really lacked in action and though it had its moments it just didn't quite hit the mark for me.

I Really enjoyed this story about a woman who is sold to a ruthless, evil man. He dictates every aspect of her life and she has to ensure it if she wants to keep her brother and Mum alive. She is his little trophy and pet to parade around his family and friends. Meanwhile she is plotting his demise and selling items he has paid for, so she has money to escape. Unbeknownst to her, her new bodyguard also had plans of his own. Hot read.

Some spoilers.I was looking forward to this story but to be honest I didn't really enjoy it as much as the others.It didn't really grip me by the time i got to the last half.All the previous books I was able to read within a few days but this one took me some time.Ravi's brother was incredibly selfish to keep gambling then eventually gambling his own sister away to be married to an abuser. A very immature character yet ravi did whatever she could to protect him. The details of the abuse are quite detailed. Uncomfortable to read to be sure to read the trigger warnings.Spoiler: when the husband finally paid the price, it was really weirs to read the intimate scenes between ravi and Alessandro while her dead husband was only a few feet away. A bit messed up compared to any of the precious books.Alessandro and Felix's interactions were funny everytime. Hope we get to see more of Felix in the next books

I absolutely love the bodyguard trope. These books have become my favourite ever a series. Alessandro first went after Ravenna as her husband played a part in his wife’s death. Ravenna was equally a victim with what she was going through. Going through. Absolutely loved it and cannot wait for the next book.

Slow burn. Bodyguard romance.Alessandro is seeking revenge for the death of his wife, and he becomes the bodyguard of the wife of whom killed his wife, Rocco.Ravi was given to Rocco as his wife in a poker game, she has been forced to marry him, and is destined to a life of misery.Ravi knows that if she gets close to Alessandro or vice versa, Alessandro will be shot. Rocco is a very possessive jealous man, but not in a good way. The only reason that he lets Alessandro watch over Ravi, is because he thinks he’s gay.However, the tension and chemistry starts to get thicker and thicker, until they can’t fight it any longer

Another must read in the series and boy did Az get his hea his place in love. Can’t wait for Kai now!

This was definitely different to the others . I really enjoyed the dynamic between the characters and the journey they are all on. It was definitely filled with suspense, danger, abuse, betrayal, chemistry, passion and twists. A thrilling read.

I read this book practically in one sitting! 😊I highly recommend Neva Altaj's series for a good, spicy, mafia romance that has an HEA and some dark moments.

Darn , the author did it again !! And then go rescue a new guy Kai.. if the next book isn't about Kai I'm gonna cry ! I'm invested now !!I just want the author to know that I have never bought an entire series before ! Cause I get tired after a while of reading from the same author or staying in the same "group" or "family" like here .. but you have broken my record .. I usually get tired after 4 . I'm at 7 and i assure you that this could go on to 100 and I would follow you like a puppy wagging its tail !!

It's the first time for me to read a bodyguard married woman romance and it's amazing. The storyline the plot everything was very exciting to read. Felix, Sergei, Kai and Alessandro's scenes were very funny I couldn't stop laughing. I missed the italian mafia of Newyork. Salvatorre I love him so much. I know that Drago's book is next so I'm excited to read his book too. I love this series and would read every book in it.

I think it was me, but I didn’t get the same feeling as did with the other books but I still loved it just not as much as the other ones I had high expectations for Az
