I am using this to hang curtains on a kitchen window between two cabinets. Rod diameter was a bit large for the curtains I bought and had to pull rod pieces apart in order to push curtains into place. Tensioning by twisting works fine. Plain white design fits nicely with the decor.

I purchased two of these for my walk-in-closet to hang my necklaces on. These are EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to install, I'd much rather use the spring tension type. Although once installed they do seem to be very sturdy, however I would not recommend these and will not purchase again.

When I took the plastic off of this it literally sprang apart and things went flying. I couldn't find any real directions other then two spots that had turn arrows. I've hung many tension rods over the years so this appeared to be a typical one. I tracked down the pieces that fell and hung it up. An hour later CRASH. I've put this thing up 25x and it just keeps falling. My hubby ended up putting a double sided Command tape on each end so it's been up since but like..... C'mon!!!

This is a good shower curtain rod and it's expandable so it can be short or long . It does a good job holding my shower curtain not to thick or thin .Easy to put up also

A fair number of reviews were negative, which gave me pause. However, I still wanted a black rod, and the price was right, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I have not been disappointed, and this is the 2nd one I ordered. It was easy to install, and it holds some pretty good weight (have a rather heavy shower caddy on one rod). Just put one end where you want the bar, then extend the other end on an downward angle, about 2 or 3 inches below your target. Now this is the important part, give it a really tight turn in the direction indicated on the sticker. Really tight. Then push it up into a horizontal position. That may require some effort, but it will work. Neither of the rods have fallen once, and I have a teenage and an early 20something who are not delicate with objects. I would personally recommend this product.

Plastic takes a lifetime to take off. When you hang it, it does not twist to tighten. You pull the rod to length and push it as tight as you can against the wall then twist but the twisting just holds where you left it and doesn't tighten it. Then it just falls down. Had a couple people try multiple times with the same result...rod on the floor.

OMG you think could a simple shower curtain rod cause a person to need therapy! LOL. Just read the other reviews for this thing. It is like a support group therapy message blog. All I can say is this was so hilariously frustrating once I came on and read the reviews when I was so confused about what had just happened to me to try to make sense of it... First it will take you 3 hours to unwrap it and peel the huge sticker off it and then LISTEN--you have one try to get it into position and then you will never ever be able to make it larger or smaller ever again. You didn't break it or confuse the instructions--it will lock after one try with it forever. This is not an adjustable tension rod--it is a one chance and that's it rod. Just buy something, anything, else.

Be prepared to take an hour to remove the packaging. The protective heat shrink is so tight you’ll be peeling it off centimetre by centimetre.I got so tired of it I took an exacting knife and cut the plastic. Now the thing has a huge knife mark on it.Also, there is no spring to this rod. So it slips down. Garbage.Save your money and buy elsewhere.
