The trash can is a perfect size. 12" tall x 6" wide x 9.5" deep. It is made of plastic, so yes it is waterproof. I love ours.

How is the quality of this small trash can?

I have used it for more than a week and it is still good. I put it next to the toilet in the bathroom so that I can throw out the garbage easily.
