I Love This Series
I loved the first two books in this series, Dusty the extrovert drag queen, Tristan the introvert Pathologist working at the Hackney morgue and the gorgeous detective, Danny who worked on the first case Tristan and Dusty were involved in, Dusty’s murder, and who is head over heels for Tristan. This book is a series of bonus chapters giving us more insight to the books we have already read. As with the other books this is full of humour and quirky characters but some of the scenes are emotional and I did shed a tear or two.Dusty, the larger than life funny drag queen who had lots of friends is finding it hard to come to terms with their life ending so abruptly and at such a young age. They can’t settle and see their friends, after six months, starting to move on and it hurts. They don’t want people they love to be sad but they don’t want to be forgotten either. A request to be a spirit guide to Tristan is approved and so Dusty is back on earth.Thank god for the gorgeous Bruce, who has a soft spot for Dusty and loves their outrageous ways and is a distraction from Dusty’s pity party. It makes you look at death from a different angle, maybe it’s not just the ones left behind who grieve! The build up to something paranormally big happening in the next book culminated with a massive storm, leaving Tristan, Sam and Harrison, all with special powers, feeling something ominous and foreboding in the air.A good read and I can’t wait for Bruce’s story in the next book.
