I loved this deodorant at first, and the company has great customer service. However, after using for a few weeks successfully, my underarms would get terribly painful with almost like ingrown hair-like sores. At first I thought it was due to shaving, but this happened multiple times when I started reusing this deodorant. Finally a woman from a local Chicago company told me it's because of the baking soda... it dries out the skin. Many natural deodorants use it and I'm not sure why. I now use underarm butter from Scratch Goods and haven't had the same issue (they use arrowroot powder). If you have this same problem, this may be why.

I've been using this deodorant for 2 years without a compromise. My boyfriend switched to it as well, although he uses some others in case of emergency and during travel. I've found this to be the most effective out of all natural (non aluminum, no talc) deodorants. Of course, it will never work as well as Dove or some others, but if you ever suffered from swollen underarm lymph nodes and are ever concerned about chemical exposure, this might be for you. I hear some complain about underarm reddening. It happened to me once as well, but it was one single time over 2 year span and it went away with 2 days. I believe it could have been a reaction to one of the ingredients, that is natural and harmful, but was simply of significantly higher dose than in other tubes. It is natural for the mixture to vary from time to time, especially if you are dealing with start up/new product that does not have the sources to control specimen makeup 100%.I use only lemongrass/ peppermint flavor but i might give lavender a try as well. I figured lemongrass would be neutral is my boyfriend wants to use it. Also, i once ordered the product directly from the vendor (if they can keep the price below $10, they will do much better- $14.99 that it started with a year or two ago was a bit much), i was sent a misting spray and a small travel tube. Those were excellent as well.In addition, i wanted to address the staining concern. Almost all of my clothes would get yellowish stains after use, but I assure you, with a bit of stain removing agent spray all come out entirely. I tried it on silk, cotton, polyester, linen, you name it. Dry cleaning takes them out just as well in clothes that are dry clean only; hence why i can speak on chiffon and silk coming back as good as new.

I have fragrance allergies and my significant other has sensitive skin. Finding a deodorant we can both used seemed like an impossible task.I tried Tom's of Maine first, and it had a mild clean scent to it. He not only did not break out in a rash, but he also was spared redness and itchiness under his armpits which he experienced with other brands of deodorant. He is on his feet 12 hours a day at work, and comes home smelling fresh and clean, rather than sweaty and stinky.I'm a plus sized woman and I sweat a lot. I also have very bad luck with deodorant causing hives. Not only did I not break out in hives from this deodorant, but I also did not develop blotchy skin, itchy skin, or red skin. I, too, felt clean after wearing this deodorant all day, even when I sweat a lot in the 110F summer heat here in the desert.Even though this is a natural deodorant, it performs like a strong, extra strength, traditional deodorant. I apply two swipes in the morning while my significant other applies three swipes. I think he puts too much deodorant on, and he thinks I don't put enough on. Either way, we come out even and needing a new stick around the same time.The ingredients for this deodorant are: Organic Coconut Oil; Organic Shea Butter; Organic Candelilla Wax; Non GMO Baking Soda; and Non GMO Corn Starch.In addition to using this deodorant under my arms, I have also used it in a couple of other ways. One of the ways I like to use it, is underneath my bra to prevent sweating. I've also used it on my thighs to prevent chaffing when my legs rub together. It's non greasy, isn't sticky, and feels clean to the touch, which enables me to use it anywhere I need it.If you've tried other brands of natural deodorant and have been disappointed, try this brand before giving up on natural deodorant's all together.

I have been living with hindranitis which causes me to have constant pain abcesses under my arms and I was always miseravle with it and honestly gave up on deodorant because everyone I tried including all natural ones made it way worse until I went on a limb after doing without for years and tried this product and I was over the moon with the results. I was finally able to wear something that protecting me and also something that helped me. I actually got better suddenly without no other reason than the sudden use of this deodorant! It's also a great value! All the other organic deodorants have been really expensive. Like 3 of these sticks for 1 of everybody elses! I loved the natural smell and it lasted a long time! I ordered the bulk pack (3) for the price break. The package arrived timely and with intact contents. The deoderant is what I was looking for- free from harmful/dangerous ingredients, keeps odor away, and not too difficult to apply. We chose the unscented. My spouse is also using it since it is good for both men and women. Twisting the balm upward is not easy, initially. Once it has been started, it twists much easier. Do follow the instructions for application- place it on your skin to warm up the product for 3 to 4 seconds and then swipe 2-3 times, no need to over apply. Intend on purchasing this product again along with recommendation to friends. Bonus: made in the USA.
