Great quality kibble!
I have one dog who tends to be more sensitive to food and another who is a picky eater. In the past we have tried different Kirkland kibble, Stella & Chewy, and Blue Buffalo. I did a lot of research on different kibbles and decided The Honest Kitchen is the winner. Both of my dogs love the food and transitioned well. My picky eater doesn’t get tired of the food after a couple weeks, and my other dog hasn’t gotten dandruff.I like the ingredients compared to other kibble and that there is an option for small breeds although my pups didn’t have an issue with the larger size. I even took a bite of the kibble just to see out of curiosity, and it tasted like a cracker that had been dipped in beef broth and dried out. I am not recommending tasting your dog’s kibble, but I was curious…The bag of small breed did have more powder in it compared to the standard size I purchased at a local store, but I am unsure if that’s due to the different kibble sizes or something else. I wouldn’t expect zero powder and wouldn’t make this a reason for not purchasing again off Amazon. The price is more expensive, but I feel as if these days you get what you pay for. The price point doesn’t bother me because I use this kibble as a base and appreciate the quality.

Another Great Product from the Honest Kitchen Line - Healthy Kibs for My Pampered Papillon
The Honest Kitchen Whole Food Clusters in Beef Flavor were very well received by the resident Pampered Papillon. Honest Kitchen is a brand that my dog honestly seems to love - there haven’t been many items from their line that he’s turned down and none of the products have ever given him issues with his tummy or digestive system. The first few ingredients include recognizable ingredients such as Beef, peas, potatoes, beef liver, lentils, ground flaxseed, eggs, dicalcium phosphate, dehydrated carrots, calcium carbonate, natural beef flavor, dehydrated vegetable and fruit blend (broccoli, pumpkin, apples, kale), salmon oil, and coconut oil. The remaining ingredients are a mix of vitamins, minerals, and probiotics. It’s a pretty solid ingredient list, and I like how there are no weird meals, flavorings, or byproducts. While this doesn’t rely on grains to bulk up the food and instead the blend includes potatoes, peas, lentils, and pumpkin to add some carbs to your dog’s diet. Just as a note, the peas included seem to be whole peas and not pea protein - pea protein/flour is not a beneficial ingredient to dog food but peas themselves are supposed to be good. Each kibble was small enough for my papillon to eat and apparently tasted great - he enjoyed eating them plain and got excited when his meal was offered. He had no issues with gas, digestive issues, or burping afterward. Overall, if you’re looking to add a little crunchy kibble to your dog’s diet, this is a great one to consider.

It’s ok
Dogs will eat it if forced lol but my dogs have been living on raw beef so they are finicky. But with a teaspoon of bacon, grease on top of a whole bowl, they gobble it up. And with the ingredients in this food, I am confident that it is a good product. My dogs are very healthy. My little one is almost 17.

She loves it!
The media could not be loaded. I researched so many raw kibble foods and found many of them just contain WAY too much fat which can cause health issues. This was the only brand I found where the fat percent was spot on nutritionally. I received the beef recipe this morning and my little Pomchi couldn’t get enough!

Discerning pallets decline
Our Boston Terrier refuses to eat the beef clusters. I was so excited to try this as we feed other Honest Kitchen food but he thinks something about it is off and won’t even try one cluster. We tried getting it wet, mixing it with other food, mixing it with meat, even giving it as a treat. No go. He thinks it’s poisonous. Not sure what is in the recipe but he will not even try it. Complete rejection. Very disappointed. Now we have a big bag of dog food that he won’t eat.

Good product
I have bought honest kitchen many times. It’s a good product and my chihuahuas seem to like it! It’s a little pricey but most all the dog foods are.

Finally a freeze dried minimally processed dog food for my pups that is good for them, but has a crunch!
