There is no doubting this is a robust product which looks and feels the part and does its job. Unfortunately, it's quite unlikely that this is the right product to buy... If you want an indoor timer, there are cheaper options (e.g. an HBN / Masterplug indoor timer). If you want an 'outdoor' timer to fit in a weatherproof box, it's probably too deep to fit. If you want an outdoor timer to fit into a waterproof socket, you won't be able to close the waterproof cover on the socket. If you want to plug it into a normal socket outdoors, that's only really okay if it is protected from the elements somehow - it might be fine in some porches, in the unlikely event of having a power socket there. That's not the end of the practical issues though: - the bottom flap on it is fairly pointless and 100% stops you from plugging in any power adapters which extend upwards above the socket. - there is an unexplained 1cm bulge between its UK power prongs and the back of the device, which makes it very deep and unnecessarily large. It's good build quality, but poor design.

The timer does what it is supposed to ... took a few goes to get the hang of the procedure to set the timer but once you know all is good.
