Great product
You do not need to be elderly to have one of these in your car for emergencies like needing to break a window or cut the seatbelt after a wreck. Also handy if you do transport someone who could use the extra handle to help position themselves to enter and exit the car. I found it especially helpful when I had a knee replacement and couldn’t put weight on the leg yet. I just used my upper body strength with this handle providing a place for my hand so I could balance myself.

Safe & Sturdy
It's convenient. Fits in the door storage pocket and doesn't take up much space. It actually feels very sturdy if hinge, while using. Bought for my mom and it helps get her in safely. Buying a few as gifts now

Handy
We got this for my mom's friend who will be having upcoming knee surgery. The moment she saw this, she was delighted how many useful things this does.

5 in 1 Tool
I got this for the purpose of using it as a handle to assist with getting in and out of the car. Did not even realize it has 4 other functions. There is a pointed tip for use to break your car window in an emergency. Can’t test this without breaking my windshield, but it sure looks like it would work. There is a recessed blade for slicing through a safety belt in an emergency. I tested this on a piece of material similar to the fabric on a saftey belt, and it did slice through easily, but I did need to find the right angle which was a little trickier than I thought it would b. There is a rechargeable flashlight/safety light built in. Comes with charging cord, but not with a charger. I assume any 5 watt charger with a USB port would suffice. Charged mine fully, red light turns green when fully charged. The light has two light settings, high and low. The high setting is weaker than a typical flashlight on your phone, and the low setting is pretty dim, can’t imagine a need for that dim a light, unless maybe not to wake someone up while looking for something. There is also a strobe light feature which I imagine could be seen well in the dark. There is a “safety” whistle attached that you blow into to make a whistle noise. Mine does not work, barely can get a sound out of it and when Zi can, it’s only for a second or two and very weak, would be inaudible 20 feet away. The door handle itself does work, it has two different thicknesses to adapt to different door latches. For my two cars, neither size is a good fit. The tool is either a bit too big or a bit too small (depending on the graduated size if the tool). So while it does insert into my latch on both cars, neither one has a nice tight fit at a 90 degree angle which would make the handle perpendicular to the road. Instead, there is some give and the tool slips out and catches and holds very well, but with the handle down at about a 30° angle. It is usable, but in my opinion, not ideal. Would much prefer if this fit in the latch, snuggly, and held at a 90° angle. So overall usable, but disappointed. One last thing, the end of the handle has a pointy end where the razor blade is housed. The tip of the plastic housing is pretty sharp and when you grab the tool to help you get in or out of the car, if your hand hits that sharp pointy edge, there’s definitely discomfort. Would have been nicer if that was smooth out a little bit at the factory.

Great mobility aid
Purchased for my mother who recently had a second hip replacement. This definitely helps her in and out of a car. Gives her also the piece of mind of having an extra point of contact.

Helpful for older adults to get out of a lower vehicle
Got this for my grandmother, who's not able to get up from a car seat as easy as she used to. It slips into the U-bolt on the car frame, and she's able to utilize it as a push-off point when standing up. The item feels sturdy enough, and it stays in place with little to no wiggle, provided she is pushing directly down. The window-breaker and seatbelt cutter are nice additions; the safety "whistle" or whatever it is is kinda strange-sounding, but I guess might come in handy somehow. The flashlight isn't super powerful, but would probably do in a pinch to find something in the car or illuminate something close by. I do like that it is rechargeable, rather than needing to open it up and replace batteries when they run out; one less hassle to deal with.
