Well-made product
Product was made with good plastic very flexible looks like it will last quite a while I like that it had the different West Coast State measurements for crab size on it have not used it yet waiting till November of this year for opening crab season

Nice crab gauge.
Perfect gauge for Dungeness and Red Rock crabs. My old gauge got lost and the design was so bad (made by Danielson) since the color of the gauge was green and so were the measuring info. I had to use a black marker to mark the notches for easier readings.

Side ruler is off 1/4β but the cut out portion is dead on
Yes, the side ruler measurement is off (short) about 1/4 inch. HOWEVER the cut-out portion for measuring is DEAD ON.. So donβt worry about these other reviews saying this is junk or that they threw away many legal crabs. This thing is great for only being $6!

Snaps easily when used incorrectly
So we went crabbing on a boat. Caught a ton of crabs. Then when pulling the crabs out, they weren't exiting voluntarily. I pulled on some of these suckers pretty darn good and small battles ensued. Then I had the genius idea of giving them something to grab onto instead of the metal cage. Well, one of the bigger guys immediately clamped down on an end piece and boom there goes the entire edge.Long story short I used it for an unintended purpose, but this plastic measuring device did not hold up very well against its first crab.
