You can see and feel the build quality of this barlow. No point in having a good scope with good eyepieces and then putting cheap glass into the mix in the form of a budget barlow. With astronomy products you get what you pay for. I have been very pleased with the performance both visually and for imaging.

This is the most important and best quality accessory I've bought for my Celestion NexStar telescope. The detail it brought out in the planets (Jupiter and Saturn) was fantastic compared with slightly cheaper models. This is now a permanent part of my setup. Great value for such high quality optics.

This has, ofc, the same good quality as the X-Cel LX EP's. A fine compliment to any set. Build quality is top-notch. Very happy with it.

I have used this in conjunction with a Skywatcher 130M, focal length 900mm, aperture 130mm and skywatcher 8 - 24mm MZT-24 lens and Baader Hyperion 5mm lens. It provides a far superior quality image compared to the original skywatcher 2x barlow that came with the scope. For example, there is less light loss, the image is clearer and the build quality is very sturdy. I would recommend however getting the allignment stabilising device for this, so when you put a big heavy 5mm lens on it, it doesnt droop slightly out of allignment. Im not going to mark the lens down for that though. Worth every penny in my opinion, however i am a NOOB with regards to astronomy so feel free to ignore this reveiw based on that fact, if you wish :)

Really well made Barlow but the cheaper Omni Barlow is optically identical to my eyes and has a removable lens allowing for two magnifications. I'd buy the Omni if I was you.

Really easy to use perfect fit, purchased this Barlow to magnify my eyepieces 2x, crystal clear images, great for attaching a DSLR camera to your scope.

Does a good job

Celestron 93529 X-Cel LX 1.25-Inch 2X Barlow Lens (Black) Quality piece. Doesnt break the bank. Gives you more options for your eyepieces. imo, this is a must-have for anyone getting into this hobby. Sure there are other less expensive ones out there but its kind of already a low cost accessory so it doesnt make sense to me to buy some no-name brand.
