After an absence of nearly 60 years Portsmouth fans enjoyed their long-awaited day at Wembley in the FA Cup final, celebrating in style as the team ran out 1-0 winners against Cardiff City to claim the coveted trophy and return it to the South coast. After an eventful run to the final, defeating Manchester United away from home along the way, Portsmouth walked out onto the hallowed turf as favourites and duly dominated large portions of the game, taking the lead mid way through the first half before going on the attack to pressure the Cardiff back line. It was a deserved victory, and was the first time since 1995 that a club outside of England s Big Four has lifted the trophy. Many heroes graced the pitch that day as David James once again proved his class through an assured display; Glenn Johnson, whose tireless work down the right flank, was rewarded when he crossed for the goal; and Kanu who completed the fairytale with the winning strike. After years of trying Harry Redknapp finally realised the dream and led his team to his first major domestic trophy as manager. But the day truly belonged to the fans and the lasting memory will be the Pompey chimes bellowing out from the first whistle to the last. Play Up Pompey, Pompey Play Up .

Great memory to treasure and great dvd to pass on to my son! I watched this in a pub on my honeymoon, needless to say she's gone but Pompey remains! 😂

I bought this for my partner after they won the FA Cup. He loved it! Loaded with extras; nice thing to keep as a reminder of better times and to relieve those in detail every now and again.

could have been so much better, but then it was probably produced by the prawn sandwich brigade!!!!
for one of the best supported clubs in England the coverage of the fans was poor, hence no 5*. but match coverage was OK, but would also have liked more coverage of the celebrations

I was there!
Watching City have a bad run during this season were making us prepare for the worse as we looked to be going to adminstration that was until we beat Middlesborough in the quater final!We got past Barnsley no probs but unfortnatley couldn't get over pompey but what made that years FA cup final special was that none of the top 4 were in the finals that season which got City big publicity and I'll never forget that occasion!As for the DVD its contains the match which was ok but it kinda dragged looking back, also highlights of how City and Pompey made it to the final and the top 10 fa cup goals which was topped by an amazing Hasselbank cross!A must for City fans who want to reminse that time.
