Nespresso Compatible, Compostable Coffee Capsules - Vanilla -Style Espresso Pods for Nespresso Machines, Eco-Friendly Alternative (60)

While the coffee is very good, the pods themselves do not work all the time in my Nespresso Pixie machine. Every other pod seems to force the system to shut off, I'm assuming out of the water backing up. I say this because the coffee comes out very slow - almost dribbling - right before the system stops the brewing process. When the pod does work, the extract is rich and full in body, with a nice crema on the top. I ran a cleaning process not long before trying to use these pods, so I am fairly certain it's not an issue with the machine, as my Nespresso brand pods had no issue brewing fully out of the mashine. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product based on the inconsistency of the brewing process from pod to pod.

I love these pods for the Nespresso machine I use. I work aboard a tug boat in Alaska and share espresso with all of the coffee drinkers I work with. One of the biggest factors that make these pods great on a boat is the fact they are compostable. Our trash is taken to a landfill on land, never disposed of at sea and it gives us peace of mind that we can get rid of these in our food waste as there is no mechanism to recycle aluminum. We have the Breville Nespresso machine(not virtuoline).I like the idea of compostability so was excited to try these capsules.Unfortunately, as another reviewer noted, these pods actually do not work with the Nespresso machines.The pods themselves are perhaps 2mm too small when compared to the Nespresso brand capsules. This seems to throw off the pressure and one only gets minimal output of espresso-like fluid.This item is not eligible for return, which is highly disappointing.Save you money, buy a different capsule.

I used one capsule and my Nespresso stalled/sputtered like I never saw it do before. The draw was about twice as long. The capsules are NOT sealed and so once you open a bag (5 pods per bag) the coffee is open to air. I wanted to use these at my cabin which means I have to drink coffee in units of 5 per visit. Last but not least, the coffee did not taste that good. I got a refund. Tossed them.

Three main problems: first, the coffee smells and tastes really bad, like it’s burned, but not very strong. Second, after using a pod, my Nespresso seemed clogged up; the next Nespresso pod I used took forever to brew- just drip, drip, drip! Thankfully, it was temporary and the second pod I brewed after the Woken was normal. Third, the pods are only compostable in commercial composting systems, which don’t exist where I live.

I like the fact that these are made of compostable material, the vanilla flavor is nice. I want to encourage the market out there to be invested in creating better & more environmentally friendly products. We can have convenience without it being damaging to the environment we depend so heavily upon.

I have used 30 pods so far and have had a perfectly brewed cup every single time. These work 100% with my machine and I am writing this review after ordering another 30 pods. Secondly, it is fantastic that they are 100% compostable. We all have a responsibility to consume less plastic to save our oceans and earth, so thank you very much for this product. The convenience of nespresso coffee is amazing, and now I don’t have to be a jerk buying plastic for convenience. And last but not least, the coffee is delicious and smooth and I love it. I have a Breville Essenza Mini Nespresso machine (which I love) and have tried many different capsules and these are by far THE BEST!
