Ease of use and colour

One of my fire bricks had broken in half , a full length one which was situated on the top of my Log Burner, After removing the soot deposit and making sure both faces of the brick was clean , I dip both faces of the broken brick in clean cold water , then applied the cement mix on both brick faces , then squeeze them together then slid the repair brick back it to the metal retaining back plate , left a couple of hours ,then fitted it back into position , Its like new , Ace product .

Did job but didn't go as far as needed so order. Another

Used to patch a large hole in the back of my open fireplace where the firebricks had cracked and broken off. I filled a gap about 3cm deep, and maybe 4 cm wide and same high. It filled the hole easily( smoothed it with a trowel) and once A fire had been lit the colour changed to the same colour as the fire bricks. You can’t even tell it’s been patched. The filled section is right in the main flames of the fire and glows red hot during a fire. The patched section is still solid. Very impressed.

Difficult to use and difficult to stick to the firebricks.
