I have a good sized collection of the inimitable Michael Percy figures for the period and this is exactly what I was hoping for as a way of easing my way into to transforming them into forces fit for the table top.Very helpful chronological overview of the conduct of the revolutionary wars and discussion of the development of various armies, especially the rather complicated and confusing development of the French armies. Rounded out with some fine scenarios including detailed OOBs. Some very nice eye candy of well painted troops on quality terrain throughout the volume, along with various helpful illustrations (such as Knotel plates).Perfect for my purposes: now I just need to push some other projects along and I can then start to ready some revolutionary French for the painting table. This volume is just the ticket for getting me going.

The book was filled with resources and images of early Napoleonic miniature wargaming and added a lot to my growing base of information for painting and gaming this period.
