The machine very usefully has a flying lead with allows a light reading to be taken without having to stand right in front of the light you are trying to measure, and a "Hold" feature too. Very sensible, so why don't all manufacturers offer these features?Moving on, I've no idea whether this meter measures light accurately (or within what accuracy parameters such as plus or minus 5%) but it's worth noting that the meter measures Lux not Lumens (although these are the same 1m away from the light source).200w LED floodlights are typically rated at 16-20,000 lumens and this meter told me that mine was pushing out about 8,000 lux/lumens one metre from the flood light; about 20,000 lux 0.4m away from the floodlight; and 85,000 lux immediately in front of the floodlight.This suggests that the meter is certainly measuring something, but what it really reveals is that the 'Lumens' rating advanced by light-bulb and LED manufacturers is, at best, misleading and that really, what counts, is the reading one metre away from the light fitting. On that basis, my floodlight is (probably) only emitting 40% of the light I thought I was getting, which is profoundly disappointing. You have been warned!

Accurate

I was in need of a light meter with a high degree of accuracy for lab testing of the efficiency of solar panels. When comparing the readings from this meter against a much more expensive bench-top meter, the measurements were consistently within a few Lux of each other. The fact that this is portable has made my life so much easier day to day.

Good product reasonably accurate, bought for a replacement of an old one! Useful features well built product for its price.Very happy with it!

Très facile à mettre en œuvre.Affichage numérique très intuitif: dès que la valeur "1" s'affiche, il suffit de changer de calibre (avec la touche "RANGE" qui en propose 4) pour obtenir un résultat.Le capteur au bout d'un fil souple est très ergonomique et facilite grandement la lecture du résultat.Vraiment très bien!

The media could not be loaded.  Tiene la apariencia del típico multímetro digital, pero mucho mas sencillo de usar ya que solo tiene las unidades y la escala para magnitudes lumínicas.Lo usaré para ajustes de luz en foto y video a nivel semiprofesional.Viene en una maletita de plástico que lo protege y además del acabado perfecto incluye la bateria de 9V. Listo para usarlo!

Strumento robusto, merito anche della guaina di protezione dell'involucro, pratico nell'uso e preciso nelle misurazioni (verificato con strumenti di ben altra categoria di prezzo). Visibilità dei dati ottima, molto apprezzate le funzioni di taratura dell'autoazzeramento e il tasto di blocco della misurazione. Comoda ed elegante anche la valigetta/custodia. Una piccola sbavatura, forse, le istruzioni solo in inglese anche se, per una persona del settore, non dovrebbero sussistere problemi di alcun tipo nell'uso dello strumento.
