Vktech Mortar and Pestle,Stainless Steel

The product is not as sturdy as its stated in the description. i relally doubt if its even steel.

Wonderful. Just what I needed. I'm glad I read all the reviews. It was hard figuring out which mortar and pestle would work for me. I don't have a lot of strength in my arms, I'm a 75 year old woman, 5 foot, 3 inches tall. But this set hardly asks anything of me. It feels as if it's doing the work on its own. I have to grind two or three pills each night. One is very hard to grind. I've tried two different plastic grinders but they took lots of strength and were still leaving me with unbroken pieces that were larger than I liked. This gives me fine powder with the exception of a coating on one pill that holds a some of it's shape. But that's no problem for me to swallow.

Mortar and Pestle is one of those must-have items for me and so I have owned and used a variety of them. When my porcelain one broke the second time, I knew it was time for a newer material. This mortar and pestle is made of stainless steel which not only gives it a nice appearance but makes it sturdy. I can use it without worrying about breaking anything. The interior is smooth and can be used for a lot of things. I love to make Indian spiced masala tea and this comes in handy for crushing cardamom, cinnamon and other similar ingredients (Pics attached). I store it on the counter and since it has a small footprint, it doesn't take up much space. It also has a non-skid base for secure placement while grinding. Very happy with purchase.

This is exactly what I wanted. I needed it to crush my dogs larger vitamins, and this is perfect. Just heavy enough, cats can't push it off the counter and even if they did , no harm no foul. Just wide enough for a good grip and gripper feet help me keep it in place. Was mashing pills the size of nickels between two spoons before I got this. All's dry, so I only need to rinse it every so often. Such a muscle saver!

Pretty fantastic product. Heavier than I envisioned, and I mean that in the best way possible. Only complaint is that the mortar is incredibly slick - it could use a little roughening up, maybe by a machine in a factory or possibly performed "after market" with sandpaper, in order for seeds to not slip out when turning into fine powder! I do love, however, that there's no powder/chalk created like you find with almost all non-stainless steel mortar and pestles.No complaints aside from the too smoothness - would recommend.

I bought this to crush pills and it is excellent for this purpose. I smiled at the reviews that said it would not break if it falls---maybe not, but you better watch your toes as this product is heavy. Mine too, failed the magnet test, very slight attraction on the outside, more on the inside, none on the pestle. The ring on bottom of mortar, which feels like rubber, reduces it from slipping and/or marking the counter. I'm happy to have this for kitchen use too. Since it does what it is suppose to do, is cost effective and attractive as well. it deserves the 5 stars I have given it.

I had ordered a porcelain Mortar and Pestle from eBay, when I received it, the first day I put it to use it broke! I found the Vktech on Amazon, what an amazing difference! I have a dog that requires medication that I need to crush up, and this works wonderfully. The bowl bottom doesn't move because of the rubberized base, and the bowl and pestle itself being made from steel crushes the pills effortlessly! Searching for the same product, this vendor had the best price for it.Seeing it crushes my dogs pills so effortlessly, I'm positive it will work with other products very well also.

I'd never used a stainless-steel mortar and pestle before, but now that I have, there's no going back to marble or granite ones. The pestle really crushes the @#$%^ out of stuff! Plus it's SO easy to clean, and everything you crush is clearly visible and slides right out of the bowl.I have to give special mention to the pestle (i.e. the crusher bat). It's heavy, well-shaped, and seems to smash things much better than my old (marble) one. Hand's-down, this is the best mortar and pestle I've ever used. Oh, and it's quite large compared to other m&ps, which is another plus IMO.
