This has been a very good pizza cutter. It's sturdy and after wiping it, I can just put it in the dishwasher (keeping the blade from digging into the rack) and it comes out good and clean. I haven't gotten any corrosion either. I actually use it most often to cut frozen pizza pies into quarters or individual slices before putting them into the oven so there's no problem cutting them after they're done and the cheese is gooey. That probably puts more wear on the blade but it works well - probably because the frozen crust is brittle. I'm not following the directions that a lot of frozen pizza companies give to put the pies directly on an oven rack but if you've done that a few times, you've probably had some nasty messes to clean up at the bottom of your oven. Instead, I put multiple layers of good quality aluminum foil on a large baking sheet and then spread a very thin layer of a high quality olive oil on it before placing the pizza slices. When they're done, they come off easily with a spatula. The crust is still crunchy and there's no mess! Buy one of these and then enjoy your pizza! Ummmmm... PIZZA!

Only having use of one hand makes it difficult to cut stuff on a cutting board with a conventional knife. Ulu's are OK but the ones I've had were always beveled on only one side, so they veer to one side as I'm cutting. The ones marketed for handicapped might be beveled on both sides, but the one's I've bought have always been super dull & sharpening didn't help much. This one cuts straight as I push down, and it IS sharp. Not "Razor Sharp" but sharp. It's large & sturdy. Has a very good handle, & a very easy to put on, blade guard for storage. Excellent for meats, fruits, vegetables, (although I don't think it would do too well on things like Tomatoes)

Bought this to replace out lost Ulu knife from Alaska. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and strength of the blade and it stays sharp and safe with the blade cover that comes with it. It is good for chopping salads, onions, all kinds of vegetables and meat.

Very useful tool, I cut batter with it (for baking scones, because you need it cold), use it to cut pies, khachapuries and pizzas.
