Firecracker: Smoke Series, Book 5

A bit late coming to the table with this series but not disappointing at all. 5 th book in series, and here we explore and learn more about Yrev second son of Garrett, and Gypsie, daughter of Fawn who is becoming entwined with Garrett. Complications arise, but love has a way of making things happen. Well written, and totally enjoyable. Some dark moments, some light times and deeply romantic sessions. Only characters visited, and enhanced, and lovely to recognise them. As ever a great experience.

Well Trev so far has been the cheeky boy that tries to steel all the ladies so far and he definitely was not the settling down type.He is the second son of a mafia family and has been raised to be a playboy rather than a dom!I had wondered what type of girl would be able to capture Trev but Gypsi was not what I was expecting. She comes across as being sweet, Trev is drawn to her eyes when he first meets her, even though he doesn't know anything about her.Gypsi has just gotten out of an abusive relationship and was hesitant to get involved with anyone else. Throw in the fact that their parents are dating just added another hurdle in starting something.Her calls her Lollipop which she likes, she ignores him for some time due to her worrying about getting involved with someone when her ex is so abusive. She has no idea of the family and what they do!They finally give in to their feelings and start something, Trev makes it clear he's not looking for a relationship just sex. She is happy with this as she had certain needs and has always thought she was a little freaky in the bedroom! Trev cannot believe his luck!Then Gypsi got feelings and ruins everything and Trev tries to ignore her and his feelings but it comes to an explosive ending with Trev showing he is more like his dad and brother than he first thought.A brilliant book again - bravo Abbi

Trev Hughes is the youngest of Garrett Hughes’ sons , where as his older brother Blaise was always destined to take over the family business as head of the southern Mafia , Trev was seen a the playboy of the family a position he totally lived up to . That was until Gypsi walked into his life and after the first meeting he was well and truly hooked although he didn’t realise it at the time . There is however one big problem Garrett his Dad has fallen head over heels in love with Gypsi’s mother and as their parents relationship develops into something more permanent things don’t look too good for Trev and Gypsi as now they are destined to become step- siblings . As with all the previous books the action in and out of the bedroom is extremely hot and although Trev in the past has left all the nasty Mafia business to his elders , when Gypsi’s life is threatened by a psychotic ex , Trev shows that he’s a true Hughes at heart . Although this book is not as dramatic as the previous ones it is nevertheless an excellent five star story . We also learn more about Saxon as well question is do we get a happy ending ? for the answer to that you’ll have to read the story yourselves 😉.

It was weird in a good way to see him fall in love, but I liked the whole storyline behind and how it was all connected in a way.He deserves someone as crazy as him.

I was not expecting to like Trev's story as much as I did. Gypsy was a pleasant addition too! These two both were able to carry the story even though they've been the youngest couple so far. It was easy to believe the intensity they brought to the table.

I love this story and couldn’t put it down. Etc is like a golden boy. The second son of the mafia boss. So he has all the money and good things without the pressure. But if it comes to his girl he can be a bad ass to anyone who wants to hurt her. Love it

I have loved every book in this series so far! I am loving the scenes between the boys, they make me laugh out loud. It was nice to see Blaise and Trev's sibling relationship on another level in this book and the glimpses we got of Maddy. Trev and Gypsy are great, they are everything that is fun in a young relationship. I loved this 'lighter' book after Gage. I can't wait for Levi's story! These teasers at the end of each book are making me wish the months away!

You need this series in your life!!! It’s hot, addicting and you will just want to keep reading more.The Southern Mafia - who know it was just going to keep getting sweeter!
