When Takeover of Small Business Goes Wrong!
This book gained my interest immediately. It is the story of how a community newspaper was started by Sal turning it into great success through relationships and loyalty only to be taken over by a big news corporation. The story gives great insight as to how a small, successful business can be destroyed when left in the hands of big business who do not share the same views or ethics. I have great empathy for how it affects not just Sal , but all the employees and their families who were hard working and loyal to this community newspaper.

Work experiences that many have endured
Felt like I was living through the events captured in John's book. Many of us can relate to work experiences captured here. Sal had a big heart - a person that comes along once in a life time. Growing up in Chicago I took many of the local neighborhood newspapers for granted. I miss the excitement of reading what's happening in the neighborhood. Sometimes getting all information on line is just not the same. Wish this book included photos from that era.

Informative
The book was excellent! It held my attention. It was so true to life! It reminded me of when I was forced out of my own job in the hotel industry! The corporate world cares nothing about mom & pop businesses. It's all greed!!I would definitely recommend this book!!
