Problem Solving and Reasoning Pupil Book 3 (Busy Ant Maths)

Love Busy Ant Maths books. Use them a lot with my class. This particular one has some fantastic problem solving, reasoning and real-life maths problems.These are great to use to show mastery as they often set tasks which really get the children thinking rather than just question after question.I do think you need to look at some with the children first if they haven’t done tasks like hers before to get them used to how to answer the questions. To start with, mine looked at the task blankly but reallybstarted to engage after some prompting.You don’t need any of the other Busy Ant books to use these; they’re stand-alone. The tasks to vary a lot in difficulty. I’ve got 3-6 and have used tasks from each for various ability groups.
